Board of Directors Announced...MFCAL begins Sept. 7

Dear MFCA Members,
As most of you know, at the annual business meeting, it was voted on and passed that the MFCA would move from its current system of leadership, i.e. President, Vice President, etc., to a 7 person Board of Directors. Will Travers and I have visited with the numerous people who expressed interest in serving on the Board. We have attempted to make our selections based not only on the person’s qualifications, but also on their commitment to living up to the motto and the mission statement of the MFCA. The decisions were very hard, but have been made and we are happy to announce the new Board of Directors for the MFCA in alphabetical order.

We have maintained the position of Treasurer outside of the Board and Mike Guttmann will continue to serve.

Congratulations to the new Board of Directors! I am sure that the MFCA will benefit from this change and the people serving on the Board will do their utmost to look out for the best interests of the MFCA and its mission. They have much to begin working on including; electing a Chairman of the Board and creating new bylaws. We will keep the MFCA Membership informed of any important changes and announcements.

MFCAL begins Sept. 7!!
We have also appointed Ken Allen as the new MFCA League (MFCAL) commissioner. Thanks and congratulations to Ken! He will be your contact for any questions or rules scenarios that may come up and has the final say so on any issues related to the MFCAL. We don’t expect too many, as the MFCAL is pretty cut and dry as to how it operates, but there may be situations we have not accounted for. Keep in mind that the MFCAL begins Sept. 7. Any games that are played starting that date between 2 MFCA members can be counted as MFCAL games.

ATTENT ELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE GOVERNING B.O.D


Congratulations on all of your appointed seats. I must say reading the list the coaches who are members are in goods hands. It's a fine list of leaders that will keep this ship sailing in the right direction. once again congratulations.

Congratulations to Ken allen being elected as the commissioner of the MFCAL. This will not be an easy task once the league takes flight. There will be a million questions early on until coaches get comfortable playing all the different games/styles.

Great moves by the MFCA.


What are the B.O.D thoughts on searching the globe and locking in a travel agent who can help get the best deals on plane fares and maybe hotels for coaches. This is to give coaches another option to look at in regards to traveling to MFCA functions. Also, if a league wanted to utilize something like this the opportunity will be there. ie., a tourney in vegas, california, washington, etc etc. I know Darrian Ross (ravenmaniac) has a friend who does this kind of work. Just a thought

We just discussed that the other day Dre and after an exhausting search we found the perfect travel agent just for the MFCA, to ensure low cost on airfairs and motels....
