Default SNOW PLOW BASES ?

COACHES,

To get that snow plowing effect out of a base does it matter if the back of the base is a little higher than the front ? NOTICABLE TILT.

1) Are itz dials strong enough to open a hole moving sideways ?

2)how thick should the back prongs and front prongs be ?
***Should the front prongs be made a little thinner than the back ?

I sometimes see coaches abandon their running game when they notice their opponent is just as strong as they are.. THEY WANT TO AVOID THE TUG OF WAR BATTLE. But the question i have is, Do you have well designed running plays ? For x-zamp

1)Do you have a trap play in your playbook ?

2)Do you have counter plays in your playbook ?

3)do you have a draw play ?

**Did you develop a base for your running back to hit the hole a certain way ?

***Doc smeby once said, notice how your running backs head toward the line

1)some hit the hole hard and fast
2)The other may approach the line tentatively
**This is where you determine how to utilize them.

**If your going to stack against another strong team, of course your going to see a tug of war struggle until a defender just happens to bump into the running back.

In styles where you can set your offensive lines at angles before the snap, that's where the cat and mouse development starts. why continue you go up against an equally powerful team head on when you can WIDE SPLIT THE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. With that said, only two things can happpen. THE DEFENSE WILL EITHER

1) stay enclosed and compact concentrating on the middle. IF THEY DO, YOU CAN RUN SWEEPS OR OFF TACKLE ALL DAY. HE KEPT MOST OF HIS POWER IN THE MIDDLE.

2) Open up and wide split also. IF THEY DO. You can trap back inside double teaming a NT or DE or MIDDLE LB. (all going back inside with that running back who is supposed to hit the hole rather fast)The angling of offensive lineman and that running must work hand in hand during your practice sessions.

***You can also fake an angle by having a TACKLE ON A STRONG PROLINE BASE ON AN ANGLE AND ITZ BASE FACING FOWARD. when the board is turned on that itz base can slide towards the tackle on the proline to create and effective double team. .

what type of runnings plays do you guys continously work on until it is perfected ?

THANX
