No, I'm too lazy for that More seriously, I work a lot these days, and hand paint shoulder numbers with a decent result is a big boring work...too big and too boring for now

I always will be able to add them later

by the way, here's the materials and paints I use on that figs :

plateforms :

modelling flock ("fine turf")
PVA glue (for the modelling flock : I glue it with that, then I add another diluted coat of pva glue to make it strenght)
gobelin green paint (Vallejo game color) for the base color of the turf
sun yellow paint (Vallejo game color) for drybrush on the modelling flock
vallejo game color mat varnish (plateforms sides)

figures :

football figure.net figures ("reggie figs")
gel cyanolate glue ("superglue gel")
xacto knife for face sculpting, removing bits, make modern helmet look, or fixing anatomic defects
green stuff putty (Duro Kneadatite) for sculpting (arms, legs, bellies, anatomic corrections)

uniforms : black, white, "sun yellow" paint (Vallejo game color)

skin : leather brown, bestial brown, bronzed flesh, elf flesh, bone white

finish :
Artistic acrylic mat medium (used for numbers AND for final varnish, once diluted with water)
peal and stick Miggle white numbers
Electric gridiron photo etched facemasks

shading effects :

skin : sepia ink, black ink (Vallejo game color),
uniforms : ogryn flesh (Citadel washes)

highlights effects : skin paints + white paint

Default Steelers

Thanks so much for sharing your work - incredible.

If I get back to Paris, I will definitely look you up for some scrimmaging. Used to get there a lot for work and would take figures to detail for those long flights.

Of course mine looked nothing like that - you are a true artist!

You're welcome

For info I live in south west of France, about 800 kilometers from Paris. I'm near the atlantic ocean and Spain frontier. I'm quite a sort of Texan, in a way

edit : except I'm in west coast...I know where 's texas is ...Well you're right, I had to look on wikipedia to be sure

Default Linemen tweaking

Today, I started to tweak again, my steelers linemen. To be honest, tweaking for demo play is not the most fascinating thing I do in miniature football

So it's quite simple : I take my reference O line (49ers), wich is itself based on a Norbert revells reference strenght base (center), and I try to make a O line as strong as my reference team. Not too strong, not too weak. Demo team, for fair gameplay. Boring

I hope my new friend will like the game, so I can start tweaking to win, and not to make fair scrimmage squads only.

By the way, I made a little video to bring a little fun in the operation

You can see that I have a star 49ers tackle. Very fast on the snap, with good strenght. I'm pretty proud since I tweaked it myself. Like all the other bases except the blue center NR base (I just slightly adapted it for fiberboard).

It's a good example of what you can do with Buzzball bases. WIth the miggle bases I have, I didn't achieve to create the same strong athletes (fast on snap, powerfull on contact). So I focused on pure strenght only, to protect the QB. But in a way...as long as I 'll tweak for fair play only, it will be difficult to make really complex tweaking effects.

I could not resist and I used some of my special dials (I keep them for the day when I'll find other guys interested in competitive league play...the day when tweaking will be for victory and not for fair demos ) and a square proline ttc to make a new Steelers tackle, beeing able to face that powerfull niners DDB tackle.
