This is an unusual lot that came directly from an estate sale & the previous owner was an old Yaleman. It is a pair of tickets for the Yale Bowl, from the Army vs. Yale football game that was played on October 27, 1934. The tickets are in VG+ condition, but show some yellowing & have paper on the reverse as they had been glued into an old scrapbook. They are both complete, & have not been torn or damaged... they are for: Portal 4, Aisle B, Row 30, & seats # 17 & # 18. Along with the tickets came this end zone flag that I can only assume was "liberated" as a souvenir at the close of the game. It has a metal rod that is coiled at the bottom like a large spring, & a large loop configuration at the top. This "flag pole" is roughly 38 & 1/2 inches in total length, & has a lot of the original black painted finish left on the metal, plus some slight rust / age "grunge" on it, plus along the bottom of the coiled spring part there is what appears to be some of the old white lime residue from marking the field's lines. Tied to it by means of white cloth tie strips is a red heavy duty cotton flag that measures roughly 16 inches in height, X 17 inches in length, & is in EX condition.... a bit worn in a few spots ( & DUSTY from decades of storage), but NO damage or holes in it. Kind of a unique little souvenir group, & I only wish it could speak to tell its story !
