This is the final week of play for the 2010 season. The Bozos, Third Reich and Sasquatch have already clinched playoff spots. The only one remaining is for the Un-North Division winner. Here’s the lowdown and this weeks picks;

If the Sasquatch win, they will win the North Division and have the #1 seed.
If the Third Reich win and the Bozos lose, the Reich win the division and have the #1 seed. If both the Bozos and Reich win, the Bozos will claim the division crown and #1 seed.

If the Fairies win, they will win the Un-North title.
If the Ra win and the Fairies lose, Egypt will win the division.
If both the Ra and Fairies lose and the Mennonites win, the Mennonites will win the title based on head to head tie-breaker.

Killer Bees at Toxic Waste: The Bees are devastated after being knocked out of the playoff hunt. The Waste are used to it. Look for Kalamazoo’s players to be angry and looking for someone to take it out on. I wouldn’t want to be in Simpson’s shoes this week. Bees by 10 points

Werewolves at Zombies: No one has had much luck running against the Wolves this year. The Zombies will bring four 12,000 yard runners against them. Look for Fouts and Star to go to the air often and deep. Zombies by 7 points

Flaming Fairies at Mennonites. The two teams have split their two games that they have played against each other. A San Francisco win puts them into the playoffs. It’ll be a tough game, but Cruise and co. pull it out in time. SF by a field goal

Sasquatch at Third Reich: Both teams are in the playoffs. Now it’s just a manner of positioning. The Reich have come close to winning twice before, the ‘Quatch may take it easy and rest some players. Look for a wild, high scoring affair. Third time’s a charm for Munich, Reich by 2 points

Ra at Bozos: Egypt need a win to stay alive. The clowns are playing consistent and want the division title. The Bozos defense puts the clamps on the Ra - clowns by 6 points

The final week is over and the playoff teams are set. Here's the results....

Zombies Walk Over Mistake Prone Werewolves
New Zealand took advantage of numerous mistakes by Weirdwolf’s Werewolves for a hard fought 35-28 win. Bart Star and Dan Fouts combined for 8-11-1 passing for 98 yards and 2 TD’s, but it was the defense and special teams that came through when it mattered most. Cornelius Bennett and Jack Ham both picked off Warren Moon passes, Ham returning his 30 yards for a TD. Special teams blocked a Wolf punt, and Billie ‘White Shoes’ Johnson returned a punt 68 yards for a score as well.

The Wolves got scores from Jack Nicholson, Oz, Warren Moon and Michael J. Fox, but 4 penalties for 37 yards negated what could have been the tying score. Oz finished with 99 yards on 12 carries and a score, while Marcus Allen had 3 catches for 41 yards and 2 scores for the Zombies. The Zombie defense was led by Alan Page with 6 tackles, while Wolfgang Puck had 2 tackles and 2 sacks for the Werewolves.

Bees Lose Killer Instinct, Game

In what seems to be the story of Kalamazoo’s season, the Killer Bees once again let victory slip through their hands as Three Mile Island came from behind to register only their second win of the year, 24-20. Steve Colbert did most of the damage, rushing for 2 touchdowns and 61 yards on 8 carries for the Waste.

Peter Pollen opened the game with a bang, scoring on a 80 yard run on the first play from scrimmage for the Bees. The Toxic Waste answered with a 9 play, 68 yard drive that ended with Colbert scoring from 6 yards out. Steve Swarm put the Bees back in front on a 43 yard blast just before the end of the 1st quarter. Both teams traded field goals to make it 17-10 Kalamazoo at the half.

Three Mile Island opened the second half with a beautiful 80 yard, 11 play march that ended with Colbert’s second TD of the day to tie it up at 17 all. The teams traded interceptions and punts until Paul Inated’s field goal put the Bees up 20-17 with just a few minutes left in the game. Colbert returned the kick 58 yards to the Killer Bee 31. With only seconds left in the game, George Dubya fired a pass to Jim Baker in the end zone for the winning score. Mudd Dauber finished with 5 ½ tackles and a sack for the Bees. ‘Tricky’ Dick Nixon had 2 interceptions and 2 ½ tackles for the Waste.

Sasquatch Win Is A Gas-Gas-Gas

The Germans have their mustard gas, but the Sasquatch have something twice as effective and just as deadly as Badgas caught 4 passes for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 28-17 victory that clinched the North Division title for the Canadians. The Sasquatch defense put the clamps on the Third Reich running game, holding them to a season low 12 yards rushing. Wilhelm Klink had to throw it often, and finished 13-20-1 for 188 yards and a TD.

The game started off in the Germans favor when Grog fumbled the ball away on his second carry of the day at the Sasquatch 35. Klink found Willie Wolf open in the end zone to cap a 7 play, 35 yard drive. The big foot team bounced back on the very next play when Stinkwater hit Badgas on a 60 yard bomb to make it 7-7. A Franz Schultz field goal gave Munich it’s last lead of the game at 10-7 to end the first quarter. Stinkwater led the ’Quatch on a 10 play, 72 yard march that ended on Badgas’ second TD reception to make it 14-10 at the half.

Muckman scored the only points of the 3rd quarter on a 5 yard dive to make it 21-10 Canada. Trotter came in to relieve Muckman in the 4th quarter and scored on a 33 yard run to make it 28-10. Richard Meier took the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for the final score, 28-17.

Grog had 111 yards on 11 carries for Canada while Peter Becker caught 3 passes for 59 yards to lead Munich. On defense, Shorty had 3 tackles and a sack and Too Tall had an interception for the Sasquatch. Albert ‘General’ Burkhalter had 4 tackles and a sack for the Reich.

U-Turn-overs Spell Doom For Ra

The Bozos cornerbacks, Right U-Turn and Left U-Turn, each came up with a pair of interceptions as Battle Creek used a 28 point second quarter to rout the Egyptian Ra, 49-21.

Ramesses opened the scoring on the second play of the game with a sizzling 69 yard TD run. Not to be outdone, More Or Less scored on the Bozos first play from scrimmage to tie it up at7 all. Moses gave the Ra a brief glimmer of life by scoring on a 1 yard QB keeper to open the second quarter. The clowns then went on a scoring spree. First, 2 Cents ran in from 36 yards out. Two plays later Right U-Turn ran an interception return 35 yards to make it 21-14 Bozos. The Bozo defense held the Ra to a 3 and out and ! returned the punt 87 yards to make it 28-14. Left U-Turn’s interception gave the clowns excellent field position at the Ra 43, where More Or Less scored on a Pi pass to push the lead to 35-14. Moses connected with Kamose on a 26 yard TD pass to start the second quarter, but TD runs by 5 ½ and More Or Less sealed the game.

Moses finished the game 9-22-4 for 188 yards and a score. 2 Cents had 33 yards on 4 carries in the first half, but sat out the second half as ! got some needed game time in. Tutankhamen led the Ra defense with 3 tackles, while Left U-Turn was a monster for Battle Creek with 7 ½ tackles and 2 interceptions.

Right U-Turn intercepts this Moses pass......

... and returns it for a score.

Mennonites Douse Fairies Flame

The Mennonites used a solid game plan and took advantage of 3 Fairy turnovers in the 4th quarter to earn a 38-27 victory. Billy Bob Weisser had a stellar game, throwing 8-12-0 for 202 yards and a TD for the Amish. Johnny Holmes had 97 yards rushing and a score for San Francisco, but his fumble on a 4th quarter kick return proved to be the pivotal play of the game.

The two teams battled back and forth, with the lead changing hands several times. San Francisco took a 24-17 advantage going into the final quarter, but Luthar Lamp tied the game on a 18 yard scamper. The Fairies got into the red zone, but had to settle for a Pat Medown field goal to make it 27-24. Lamp found the end zone once again to put the Mennonites back in front, 31-27. Holmes fumbled the ensuing kick off, and Weisser found a wide open Steve ‘Stone Cold’ Austin in the end zone for the final score. The Fairies had 2 more chances to try and rally back, but both drives ended in interceptions.

Speedy Ezekiel finished with 88 yards on the ground and 40 yards receiving for the ‘Nites. Tommy Cruise was 6-11-2 for 147 yards and a score to lead San Francisco. Barney Frank had 5 tackles to lead the Fairies, while Deoder Yoder and Abraham John each had 3 tackles and an interception for the Mennonites.
