Mike, I am confused...

2.4 FIGURES BY POSITION

(a) On defense, a coach may use any figure at any position.

Am I missing the spot where the rules say offensive linemen cannot play defensive line? Are there any rules about defensive linebackers playing TE or
RB if they are numbered 1-49 or 80-89?

What about offensive players playing defense? Just how interchangeable are the players?

PLMK,
Mark

I have removed my previous post. As I want to keep this simple(avoid game day issues).............you may use your OL for your DL as well, provided they are in the same uniform. The defense must all be suited in the same uniform(home/away) as the offense must as well. The line up of Guards and Tackle figures for T G C G T will remain as stated in the rules.

Mark, I tried calling, but the snow must have gotten in the way, I couldn't leave a message either. Any more quesitons?

Mike

Mike,
For the college format, I just think this makes more sense.

Just one more question...which is the original question then; can you use a 90-97 number for your offensive linemen (those numbers ARE ineligible, should be easy to determine, especially since they are all OL figures).

BTW...all of us are looking at clarifying rules to assure that we are in accordance. This is NOT us nit-picking or in any way saying anthing derogatory in nature about your effort. You have done an EXCELLENT job with the rules, and everyone appreciates the work you have put in!

Thanks,
Mark

Yes, you can number them that way. I will be adding to the rules that you may use #'s 50-99 for lineman and you may use 00. I will also be adding the rule about stacking of the RB's, which is not allowed.

Not at all thought you or anyone was nit-picking! Sorry if you took it that I interpreted that way, but I didn't.

I will post Rule revision number , ummmmmm number...........um , well, They will be up soon.

Mike,
Didn't think that, just wanted to let you know what a good job you were doing and to assure you that our intentions are to be in compliance, that's all!
