Rick, it's just good to see you...
catching the solitaire bug too! Sometimes, when you want to continue to play and there is a stoppage in league play or you just don't want to be bothered, this is such a wonderful game that it can be played either with others or all alone.
For me, if I had my druthers, I would use the Pass Simulation Box that Jim Davis uses in the Shootout method. The reasons are twofold: 1. As a coach who plays against that method when you play in the CBSMF, it gives you some experience on how to contain it, and 2. It speeds up the game and if the aim is to get in quality plays and efficiency, any manner to speed up the game would be of the the utmost importance. I try to make my reasons for doing things coincide with my overall picture when I am looking at the competitive aspects of playing as well as how would it be fair to both teams. Good luck on the solitaire league. Keep me posted and also, I hate that we did not get to spend more time hanging out in Canton with each other. Reg |
