I saw he's been throwing that rock, 22-40 in the air. Robinson had some nice stats on the ground (19-88). I like numbers like that. To me, that means you're getting in a lot of quality reps and that's what you want to do in playing miniature football.

Thanks Reg ... long way to go on this project, no doubt. Getting a good number of runs and passes off for each team and getting a lot of snaps in. Still working on getting the overall time of game play down to a manageable amount, but I usually play games over about a 2-3 day period, so it's not like I'm trying to get everything done in one sitting.

Only adjustment I think I'm going to make after Week 1 is to give the fullbacks TTCs instead of rookie bases to try and open up the running game a little bit. For 1-back offenses, I'll allow the QB to run into the line to block, since there's no fullback.

Other than the rushing (NCAA averages less than 2 yards per carry so far), I think everything else is pretty much on point. The system as I play it, especially on pass completions, is really stressing the importance of safety and linebacker play, away from the scrum at the line of scrimmage.

Very curious to get through Week 1 of the college season to see how everything shakes out. Definitely the preliminary rankings of the teams I've seen so far is:

1. Florida
2. Purdue
3. Nebraska
4. Texas

Michigan and Kentucky take the field next.

Loved the recaps Ed. I know how tough those 4th down decisions are to make especially in a solitaire league. So many times I've had my decisions backfire. Isn't it something how penalties and strange things always seem to happen in the final 2 minutes. Nebraska should rebound. Is Florida that good or is Texas that bad? Got my Richmond Rebels team today and they look sweet. Will post pictures soon. I will also have a game recap tonight.

Excellent, glad to hear Richmond made it safe and sound.

Caught the recap of the Falcons win. Should be a good one with them vs. Houston in the Super Bowl. Even in my short NFL season, I'm already looking forward to getting to what will be Super Bowl I for me.

Texas is pretty bad. The offensive line was overpowered by Florida's front 7. The RB base isn't stellar to start with, and with no holes to go through, he turned backward on most plays before he was even tackled. Texas had some bad luck with the box on passes, and for whatever reason, my passing was off for the Longhorns, as well. They'll see better days, but based on what I've seen from Nebraska and now Michigan in the current game I'm playing, I'd be surprised if Texas contended in the Western Conference. And there's still Ohio State, BYU, Oklahoma, and Illinois to play.

I knew when I based up the teams that Florida had some talent offensively at the skill positions. Demps' base is just wild enough to be dangerous. He'll screw up a bunch of plays, but if he hits the second level, forget it - he's gone. He might run to the end zone sideways, but he'll get there.

Girlfriend visits starting tomorrow , so it may take a few more days to get Michigan-Kentucky completed.

Michigan leads, 7-3, early in the second quarter. Forcier hit Odoms for a 67-yard touchdown pass on the Wolverines' third snap of the game.

FIRST QUARTER

An explosive start, as Michigan gets the ball at the 38 and on 3rd-down, Forcier hits Odoms for a 67-yard score. Kentucky's safeties were caught pinching up, and none could catch the steady-running Odoms from behind. The Wildcats responded with a field goal, then thwarted the next Wolverines drive when Trevathan sacked Forcier for an 11-yard loss, removing Michigan from field goal range. The teams then traded interceptions over the next four plays, and the quarter ended with Kentucky facing 4th-and-1 at its 41. MICHIGAN 7, KENTUCKY 3

SECOND QUARTER

The Wildcats went for it and got it when Hartline got 8 on a QB sneak. But the drive stalled and a sequence of three straight punts started. Michigan then used the Forcier-to-Odoms hook up to stun Kentucky again, this time from 79 yards. UK was ready for it, with 4 people deep, but none could make the tackle. Again, the Wildcats answered with a field goal. But this time, they kept the momentum when on Michigan's next drive, Forcier fumbled when sacked at the 39. A 31-yard pass from Hartline to Cobb gave UK 1st-and goal, and Matthews caught a 4-yard pass to draw Big Blue within 1 when the bands took the field. MICHIGAN 14, KENTUCKY 13

THIRD QUARTER

Getting ball to start the second half after their explosive finish to the first, the Wildcats drove 62 yards in 6 plays, culminated by Cobb's 27-yard touchdown catch to give Kentucky the lead. Unable to run the ball, Michigan's offense began to sputter, and with Odoms double-teamed, the other receivers rarely stepped up, despite gaping holes in the Kentucky secondary. Michigan punted, and Kentucky scored again, another 6-play drive, this time 43 yards, ending in Locke's 20-yard touchdown run. Facing 3rd-and-1 at the 48 on their next series, the Wolverines couldn't get the yard and turned it over on downs. Kentucky, however, punted on the quarter's final play. KENTUCKY 27, MICHIGAN 14

FOURTH QUARTER

Kentucky also punted to start the quarter, in fact, they punted 3 times in the frame. But Michigan's ground game was completely bankrupted by the Kentucky front four, and Forcier was not sharp. Without the bomb to Odoms to rely on, the Wolverines offense wobbled into oblivion. Smith picked off two more passes in the quarter, giving him 3 for the day. Michigan did kick a 45-yard field goal at 8:13, but never threatened afterward.

FINAL SCORE: Kentucky 27, Michigan 17
