I think they are trying to make it exciting like arena football,it will be good for football because its more football for young players not just yet ready for the NFL to develop thier game I am sure the NFL welcomes it!!

If I'm not mistaken this is the third "new" league set to kick off in the next 2 years. I'm all for another football league, but their may be too much competition to square off with not only the NFL, but the arena football league as well.

Well, we'll see how many ever actually kickoff. I'd put the over/under at 0.5.

Our news this morning reported on the Arena League and that they may suspend the next season or fold completely over financial concerns. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/928561.html
Not a good environment for any new leagues let alone old established leagues.

Default New USFL - A Way to Promote Miniature Football?

This could be a shot, maybe a long shot, of helping to promote a league and they helping to promote our game. Think about it. Video games are a great promo tool, why not go retro (in a way) and develop a USFL miniature pro football game. With all the talent now involved and new innovations in miniature football. If resources were pooled, everything to board manufacturing, the different type players and teams available, the innovations in the kicking and passing game, the G-Force QB and K, along with the passing sticks, the different styles of play, the availability of field dress, decals, and a magazine - Tweak, what is there to lose?

Could be a win win situation.

I haven't read all the posts here, but I would LOVE to see the USFL come back,..just wondering if they might use some of the original team names and cities? I hope so!

GO Michigan Panthers! LOL!

Default We should jump on the stick

Maybe our President could contact the new USFL and get us some rights to promote them as they could promote us. I wonder if a non-profit can be involved in this. Maybe if we do it providing we do some charity work nationally.
Just a thought.

I could see their opening show featuring a Stadium, figures painted in team colors from all different sources ( BB, RR, Miggle, Jennings, Custom's ) and being played by Adrian ( MFCA Coach of the Year ) and one other coach who is chosen by a lottery made up of MFCA member coaches.

That would be some exposure.

The funny thing is...I am involved with another (not the USFL) start up Professional Spring league that is in the works-I developed their logo and IF it happens, I will be the lead man on the promotions and graphics team. The reality is, they have been working on this for 2 years and were close to making an announcement until the economy hit the fan (investors suddenly decided that losing more money on playtime isn't a good idea right now). Don't be looking for ANY new leagues springing up anytime soon. NFL just cut 10% of their office force. Arena League is close to bankruptcy and were dreaming of another league forming. Doubtful!
