Default I hope Geno and RR aren't pulling my leg

Guys, let's make this happen! If it's getting too pricey for one guy..... then combine forces. Let's do it. A new scoreboard would be awesome.

I would mount mine like one of those air hockey games.

You would never have to be bothered by someone asking what's the score!?

Default i found the answer!

Go to www.pcscoreboards.com

All you need is a computer! Just download the football scoreboard and the best thing is that it is free! You can even customize the headings. And you can project this on a big screen from your pc!

I can't wait to use this for the Dixie League!

Default Awesome!

Great find Beenutt.

For leagues like the BAM and DFW with set clocks the hockey board might be good as well.

In fact the Roller Derby clock has a "Jam" countdown timer that runs and sounds buzzer when expired.

Beenutt, this is a great discovery! The only bad part is you have to continually delete the "buy me now" screen that pops up all the time. Otherwise a fantastic idea! Here's a screen shot:

Default Score Board

My money is on G Force and Reggie, if anyone does it they will. We use a digital countdown clock with 2 inch numbers that light up in red. We have a miniature wireless camera hooked up that projects the game time onto a 20 inch TV screen. Since our games all start at the same time and use a running clock it works out perfect, everyone can see ether the small clock or the tv screen. We do not use time outs, instead at the end of each half there are 5 untimed plays, so for us this system works out well. Wireless cameras are $40.00 and up, the countdown clocks are on EBAY starting at about$15.00.
The real neat thing about the miniature camera is you can mount it on the inside rail of your game and broadcast it to a TV anywhere in the house. You can also use it in a hand held manner for some incredible close ups and realistic looking action. We have recorded whole games using this method and then replayed them later, it put the game in a world all it's own, much better than regular super 8 cameras, they cannot get nearly as good a shot up close as the miniatures do, the miniatures even have sound.
But we would still love to see a real looking scoreboard added to the hobby.
You can also download countdown scoreboards from the internet but you need a computer at your game site.

I've had a chance to download this along with the shot clock score board and it's pretty slick. I can see this being used for league, tournament, and solitaire play.

Great find Beenutt!

Default big screen

I will be buying a flat screen TV today to use for a big screen scoreboard and also satelite TV for my miniature football room. I plan on running a cable from my laptop to the big screen which will be mounted on the wall. The laptop will be placed next to the playing field and will be used to mark the ball location, yards to go, timeouts, etc. No more yard markers will be needed on the field of play. I will use the clock now instead of plays since the scoreboard will be used.

I can't wait - this is a great tool for miniature football!

Larue

great stuff Larue........

as for timeclocks..... put me on the list for the ones not using the PC ... we rarely have a laptop or PC ready when we are playing games.

I like the use of time vs. plays......can have a bigger impact on game play.... makes for more coaching situations....

Default RR and Geno, please hurry!!!!

I'm sure the pc scoreboard is good for some. But to have a laptop, tv, and all that other stuff going on is a bit much for a league playing in a public place.

I'm looking for a handheld unit. This would be great for MF. This would be the next great thing!

Stop posting, and you guys get back to work on your table top/handheld scoreboards.
