Default More Wolf names

I have come up with 11 more wolf names. The Werewolves will have trouble winning games if their players have to go both ways. If you had a team called the Transvestites their players could go both ways. Anyway here is my top 11.

1. Warren Full Moon
2. David Naughten- Played part in American werewolf in London
3. Bob Silver Bullett Seger
4. Warren Werewolf London
5. Peter Wolf
6. Warner Wolf
7. Woof-Woof from the Munsters
8. BB Wolf (Big Bad)
9. Wolf Blitzer CNN Anchorman
10. Howlin’ Wolf Great blues artist
11. Wolfgang Puck Famous Chef.

I wolud love to see pictures of all your teams. The team logos you made for these teams are genious.

VK.......Dogwood 30.

Default The Zombies

I was curious AL. You have great retired players on the Zombies. What is the actual criteria to make this team?

I will pick the Zombies and the Squash in the Finals.

Mike. I like some of those names you came up with better than mine. I think a roster change is in order before they play their first game. Unfortunately, I could only find 11 of the Werewolves, so they will be playing iron man for this year.

** The Werewolf roster has been updated to include the new members**

As for the Zombies, back in '06 on the Miggle board we had a fantasy draft where you could pick any player past or present, dead or alive. to make your own team. Everyone who participated had to make picks (in draft order) for their teams, mine was the Santa Cruz Tree Hugging Hippies, who I will paint following this season. Then, in '08 on this board ,we had another draft. The Zombies are the result of my draft. We were allowed to take anyone whio hadn't already been picked by someone else. It was alot of fun. At our Canton convention that year, I thought other guys would also paint their teams, but alas, I believe I'm the only one so far who has actually painted and played with their fantasy draft teams.

Default Tree Hugging Hippies

That name is so cool. I can't wait to see how you paint them. I posted my FastPlay system today and will be posting my solitaire league rules soon. I also wanted to know how you made the great moving logos for your teams. I have expansion teams I would love to do that for.
I'm glad you got a kick out of the names and would be honored if you used them. I was thinking of you earlier tonight. We went to my Daughter's school for a presentation of excellence exhibit which showcases projects from all the classes in her school. I was halted at the 5th grade table when I saw a huge 3 sided cardboard display about the Great Pharoh's of Egypt. I was cracking up when I was reading about these historic guys that you have on a miniature football team. The headgear was exacty like you have and the uniforms are very similar to what they wore. You teams are not only fun but historic as well. I would love to see pictures of all your teams if that is possible. Have a great night Al.

Mike.

Mike, the logos were made by Lynn aka Weirdwolf. He did a fantastic job on them. Glad you liked the Ra. Just goes to show you never know when a little MF knowledge may come in usefull.

Ok, now down to business. Here's the first weeks schedule:

Battlin Bozos vs. Third Reich....The clowns are still smarting from their loss in last years championship game. The Reich want to prove that they are better than last years record. Smart money is on the clowns by 7 points

Sasquatch vs. Fairies....A rematch from the first round of last years playoffs. The Fairies will play it tough, but the big guys are the team to beat. 'Quatch by 10 points

Toxic Waste vs. Zombies.... Both teams are disappointed about last year. New Zealand has the stars, but the Waste has team chemistry. Waste by 3 points

Ra vs. Mennonites.... The Amish are known for building barns, Egypt for building Pyramids. Gotta go with the men in black. Mennonites by 10 points

Killer Bees vs. Werewolves.... I'd hate to be the referee for this game. Look one way and you'll get bitten, look the other and get stung, not to mention what you're liable to step in on the field. Bees by 13 points

The first weeks games are finally over. This year, there will be a new overtime rule. Regular season games will no longer end in a tie. Instead, the two teams will go into an Overtime 'Kick' Off. Simply put, the two teams will take turns kicking field goals until one team misses. They will start at the 40 yard line and go 5 yards further each round until one kicker makes the kick and the other fails. The losing team will be awarded an overtime loss (OL) in the standings. If 2 or more teams end the season with the same record, the team with the most OL's will be awarded the playoff spot. Sort of like what they do in Hockey. If the teams end in a tie during the playoffs, then they will flip a coin. The winning team gets their choice to go first or second. The first team will get the ball at the other teams 35 with a first down. If they can't score a TD, then they can kick a field goal. If they succeed, then the other team will get the ball at the 20 and has to score a TD. If the first team misses the field goal, then the second team gets the ball at the 35 and only has to make a field goal to win. If the first team makes a TD, then the second team gets the ball at the 35 and must score a TD. They then must go for a 2 point conversion. If neither team scores in the first round, then they repeat, only the second team goes first this time.

Ok, here we go...........

Zombies Walk Over Toxic Waste

Curtis “My Favorite” Martin ran for 108 yards, scored 2 touchdowns and caught 3 passes for 66 yards as New Zealand whipped Three Mile Island 45 -28. Orenthal Simpson had a stellar day for the Waste, scoring 3 touchdowns on 162 yards rushing, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a pitiful performance by George Dubya. The Zombie defense harassed and sacked Dubya 3 times, who finished with 2-9-1 for 9 yards and a zero QB rating. In contrast, the Zombie combination of Fouts and Star threw for an efficient 6-8-1, 149 yards and a touchdown. The Waste defense was led by Al Sharpton with 4 ½ tackles. Charles Mann was tops for New Zealand with 2 sacks, while Ray Nitschke also had a sack.

Third Reich Gets Nipped by Clowns

Bernie kicked a 19 yard field goal as time expired to boost Battle Creek past Munich 20-17. Two Cents was the man of the hour for the Bozos as he ran for 199 yards, caught 2 passes for 22 yards and scored twice. Wilhelm Klink struggled with his 6-13-1 passing for 109 yards. The Bozo defense sacked Klink twice, and put constant pressure on him during the game. Fritz Mueller ran for 88 yards and a touchdown, while Willie Wolf had 3 receptions for 69 yards. Joseph Herrmann finished with 5 tackles for Munich, while the Bozo’s Plus had 3 tackles and an interception.

Sasquatch Trip up Fairies in Overtime

The Flaming Fairies have to wonder just what it takes to beat the big guys, as the ‘Quatch came from 2 touchdowns behind to win in the first ever Overtime ’Kick’ Off, 38 - 35. Johnny Holmes had a career day, running for 150 yards while scoring 3 touchdowns for San Francisco. Tommy Cruise added 149 yards on 9 - 13 - 0 passing. Trailing 21 - 7 at the half, Canada used it’s 1-2 combination of Grog and Muckman to score 4 touchdowns in the second half to tie the game. In overtime, Bunyons bested Pat Medown in a field goal shootout to get the win.

Werewolves Take Bite Out of Bees

Weirdwolf’s Werewolves had their way with Kalamazoo, limiting the Bees to a franchise record low 44 yards of total offense for the game in a 28 - 7 victory. Kerry Kingbee had a personal worst performance, throwing 3 of 13 with 3 interceptions for 35 yards, while suffering 3 sacks. Jack Nicholson led the Wolves on both sides of the ball, rushing for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns and recording 2 tackles and 2 interceptions on defense. Wolfman Jack was a monster on the line, getting all 3 sacks for the dog men.
