Default painting process

Hi,

A thing I forgot to talk about :

when you paint figs and want to try effects on it (dry brushes, washes, inks, etc...) it's easier to work step by step : for exemple, if you want to wash the jerseys, you will be annoyed by the stripes. If you want to detail the skin, you will be annoyed by the gloves. You see what I mean ?

Look on my work in progress topics : I always start with the main colors (jerseypant-skin), and always finish with the small details (shoes stripes, uniform stripes, face, straps and gloves).

I often even start with the skin, and once it's done I make the jerseys and stuff. ALways go from the deepest (skin) to the top (decals for example). Like a big sandwich, it's easier to put the mustard first than try to put it once the sandwich is completed and cutted

You see it's easier and fast, since you don't have to be carefull with all the little details.

Did Helmet Stripes today and some little details (shoes, leg bands...) This is the first time I used a brush for the stripes. In the past I used a toothpick. Didnt get to the store to buy the skin paints . My son put his running back in the photo

Default weight

Do you play in a league where there is a weight limit. If so did you drill them out. They look a little heavy. But If you like them thats all thats maters. Keep up the good work. You will get better and better with every team you do! PEACE

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. There are alot of amazing figs on this forum if you do the research. Some look alot larger than they are. I wanted a super looking squad without the price tag. Economics kinda forced my creative hand, and im encouraged by the positive responses. These guys will make weight in 4.0 or 4.1 Leagues. The heaviest guy is 3.5 which could be lightened with change of platform etc... All the skill players are light and will need weight added just like my other teams . Steeler1 its funny you said that because I asked you the same thing before I recieved my "fatboy" linemen from you and put them on a scale !! So, im gonna blame you for their size . Im glad they look huge, we want to win the "intimidation battle". Weaken your plastic before you hit the switch!!

The figs detailing is very good, especially if you think that is your first project of that type.

the weight "issue" (depanding of the ruleset you play) can be fixed quite easily :

you can replace the big figure plateform (if you use ff.net figures) with a thin plasticard one (you will gain about 0.5g I think)

Or you can do like Franny JK boy, and make holes of diferent sizes in the current plateforms, to manage the perfect weight for your athletes.

Keep the good work
