Thumbs up Congratulations guys

Great work!

I just wonder - how does this impact what the Brawl has in the works?

Is it going to be a series, or a one time show? Or has that not yet been determined?

Default I imagine...

if it is picked up it will be a series. I also know that there is a strong possibilty that we might have to sacrifice some of our standard rules so that the game plays better for television and is easier to understand for the viewing audience.

Default I Can't Stand the Suspense!

I want to know the outcome of this weekend and the next meeting before it airs. I wanna know! Iwanna know! I wanna know!

That is ONE of the things that puts me on the fence when it comes to placing what we do on TV. I am not at a comprimizing stage right now, when it comes to how we play the game (East to West). I guess I am still bitter about how the hobby and the game has been potrayed over the years that it's not easy for me to accept change due to outside sources. And for that reason, I have not really been a big proponent of advertising to the masses. If we can continue to control the show, I'm cool.

Sorry for venting...

Anyway, you guys keep up the good work out there and continue to fill us in on whatever you can as soon as you can.

Peace!

-Adrian-

Default AB...

I agree with you but do know that we do have full control. The are relying on us to do what we've always done. However, the most important thing to remember is that in real football WR's get off the line of scrimmage at a pretty good ratio even while in bump & run coverage. However, in EF if you're stronger than your opponent, receivers go games without ever getting off the line of scrimmage. This is just one of the possibilities that they are looking at to make the games more interesting and better for t.v. Heck, even the Detroit Lions at 0-16 put points on the board. We have to be able to make that happen. We can't expect the hobby to grow if people watching see the possibility of the worst coaches on screen being unable to score because that could be them if they decided to purchase a set and join a league. This may effect recruiting the viewers.

There will still be leagues around the country playing their own style of play. The t.v. show will be for recruiting purposes only. Think of it this way...Several Years ago "The World Series of Poker" only had about 2000 people competing professionally. Since it was picked up by ESPN over 20,000 compete professionally. When the "Madden Challenge" hit the screen kids all over the world were already playing but once it aired on ESPN and there was a $50,000 prize for the winner, playstations and madden video games were produced at clip Madden never imagined himself. Now the rules are different for the "Madden Challenge" on aire (camera views, game length, teams you can use, etc) but at your house with your boys you can play however you want. This is the same case for EF.

However, not understanding this concept, I completely agree with you.

This was truly a sight to see. A lot of work has been put in through the years and to see this finally come to fruition is nothing short of spectacular. Dang near brought tears to my eyes. Celo, great job, the guys you brought in were fantastic, it doesn't get anymore professional than this. Everyone was top shelf! I still can't believe it...can't wait for next month!

Mike Robertson, it was great to have you back out. You are a great person and coach. Your interviewing skills aren't to bad either.

George Diamond, it was great to finally meet you. You are a class act and the on site discounts were a really nice touch. You didn't have to do that...your generosity speaks volumes.

To my DFL league mates both old and new. It was a pleasure as always, can't wait to do it again next month!

Default getting back into the swing ...

Wow, what a weekend!

It was great to put real people to voices I have talk to over the phone for the last eight or so years.

Celo: You da man..... the parallels of our individual pasts are amazing. Thanks for everything, .........and the laughs we shared with Michael were worth the trip.

Michael Robertson : I made another new best friend, our conversations were great, and it is nice to know we share the same vision.

I have to go, will post more later....
