Just call me Lynn "Dan Snyder" Schmidt.
Crap, I suck at everything! Good thing me wife has money....I better go get my allowance so I can send it to the painters, tweakers, model makers, and decal makers.

I guess, really, I qualify as a grounds keeper since all I can do well is field covers.

Default Not me

Actually I can say yes to this when it comes to my Giants, and my Buzzball Oilers. All my bases and Everything.

Now everything else, again except bases, are 100% Dan Snyder painting and decaling.

Nice Post!

Default Yes-yes

Both CNYEFL and BAM Packers all work done by me.

Painted, decaled, facemasked, based, tweaked.

Default have lots of them

good question.....

not counting the figures themselves (including customs) I can say that I have successfully built several Championship teams....

selected the figures for each position;

painted each player in home and away

detailed each player (some with more details than others)

tweaked each base until the right group of players selected

trained the team (offense/defense), built plays for situations for this team

finalized skill players

sent them to the fields to bring home the hardware or RINGS!!!!!

hoping to do the same this year in all the events/leagues that I sign on for....

Default DETROIT CHILD

TROIT,

Your right also in a sense. If you buy a team already decaled, it's like buying a franchise from the previous owner. (ie; WHEN JERRY JONES BROUGHT THE COWBOYS AND GOT RID OF TOM LANDRY).
So the question in regards to this is. If you buy an already estblished franchise (like a miggle team already made). What must a coach do to make it his own ? On a miggle you still must put the names, numbers, gloves and shoe decals on. If you buy from some other previous owner, YOU MUST SNATCH OFF EVERY SINGLE BASE AND SHAPE YOUR OWN TEAM. You must give that team your identity and never look back. It's like buying a house from the previous owner. NOW YOU WILL DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE THAT YOUR HOUSE. (RE-PAINT, TAKE UP CARPET, ADD THIS ADD THAT).

***HOW DO YOU MAKE AN EXISTING TEAM YOU WANT TO BUY YOUR OWN ?

ALL COACHES PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPLY.

***THIS IS A FUN POST !!!!!!!!!!!!

***WOLF, GREAT ANALOGY ON THE FIELD COVER/GROUNDSKEEPER SCENARIO.

***LOOK AT RJ'S BREAKDOWN OF HATS, WHAT HAT DO YOU WEAR FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION ?

I hear ya Dre. In my case I did everything except for about half of my bases (a little less actually). I think that should fall up under 100 percent ownership.

Now if I farmed out the majority of the work for my squad then I have to agree with the others. And If I said that I did the work and didn't then I agree with Tron...THAT'S FRONTIN'!

Default True 100%

Good post...I would pose...what is "TRUE 100%"???

So, I'm guessing that Reggie, George, Dwayne, etc have a shot at "true 100%" as they are making the figures (and sometimes bases too). The rest of us buy theirs and then customize.

Not many guys make their own decals and I've been doing that more lately for my own squads (sorry guys, no templates)...guess that would have to be considered in the 100% criteria, did you buy your decals or make them? George had stripings and numbers so he could do it.

We've had this topic before in different forms...was an NFL coach who had both coach and GM duties a better coach than an NFL guy who just has coaching duties and a separate GM?

At the end of the day, I still live by Lomax' commandement..."know thy men". Knowledge and consistency beats talent 99 times out of 100.
