welcome!!!
When passing, National makes good points....start with one play 5 yds away and try using the TTQB in a lot of ways to hit that one player... ... lean over, lean to the side, flat on the field..etc after tossing about 50 passes you will be ready to move further away from the TTQB...... ...... there are more instructions on this site in the tips and rookie sections. Great to see you enjoyed your game !
Personaly, I started to play with passing sticks, buzzball rules section. THe major advantage of it, is that you can start make passes without any needed skills. BUT, I didn't abandonned the idea of using the TTQB one day...But I need to practice too ! GenoH, one of the members here, sells a special TTQB. It seems to be a very good product for "pros", maybe someone can tell us if that product is good also for beginners like us... |

French fry,
Actually when I first introduced the G-FORCE TDQ the Coaches who were successful with the TTQB didnt have any interest in the TDQ. However if they struggled with the TTQB or had no expierence with it, then they quickly took to the TDQ. I have been told by many that it is easier to pick up and get started with. I hope this helps. You can read many reviews from Coaches on the www.gforcetdq.com website. Geno H |

Great product!
I can vouch for Geno's TDQ. I found his qb to be much easier for a newbie to pickup and use. He's a great guy to do business with as well.
I highly recommend his TDQ (and his TDK as well if you want to enhance your kicking game). Signed...a satisfied customer

TTQB is better than I thought, finally!
The TDQ looks really interesting ! I'll certainly try it one day
What I like in that hobby and his very active community, is that I find new ideas, concepts, and things to try almost everyday ! So tonight, after I finished my sculpting job on the bucs figs, I took my courage in my hands, and tried one of the TTQB (classic) HOOP sent me...and believe me or not, I'm not so bad I based it on a reversed DDB base, so the square side of it touches the field. I've got a good completion rate about 0-25yards on my big board...not so bad. The fact is that after a few games, I found the passing sticks quite "static". Perhaps It "cuts" the game action a little too much IMHO. And now...I have to confess....Passing with TTQB is funnier than I was thinking One thing I noticed : all the TTQB figs are not made of the same plastic...the "gloss" plastic (looks like nylon) seems to be more powerfull than "mat" plastic ones (see attached pic) Another thing, I obtain the better accuracy keeping the felt ball parallel to the field, and grabing the ttqb by the base. See the attached pic, I don't know if my technic is good ? Last thing, about feltballs : Do you use/replace/improve them ? How ? thanks |

Yes, 25 yards ! I'll make vids during week end
Beginner tip ? Use a base without prongs (a base you ruined, cut off the prongs -c'est Ã** dire les picots-) and place your TTQB on it, fixed with some double sided tape, straight side of the base touching the gamefield, like on the pic I did. So you will be sure to have a straight TTQB, perpendicular to the field. It will give you a good stance (de bons appuis) to make your pass. Then, place yourself right behind the TTQB, place the ball more or less like on the pic (parallel to the gamefield), and make your move ! I simply imitated what I saw on youtube vids. A good example : It's a good way to start learning passing action. I believe, that week end I'll try to make a little tutorial from a beginner to beginners. Of course, skilled MF players are welcome to do it before and (a way) better than me : pics of hand position, tips to prepare the TTQB and felt balls, etc... I believe anyone thought about that type of articles, simply because the game in USA is played in leagues, so mf players can teach to each other "in real life/direct live". But for foreign or isolated people, passing play is one of the things you have to learn by yourself. Lets try to change that Last edited by the french guy : 01-13-2010 at 06:29 PM. |

felt footballs...
Last thing, about feltballs : Do you use/replace/improve them ? How ?
French Guy.. Here is alittle tip i can give ya that i do. i take the new felt footballs off the sprue and using a lighter i "flash them" just like you do to the prongs of a base. this removes the excess " fuzz" from around the ball and will make it fly straighter and faster to your intended target. as far as hitting him...well thats a whole nother thang..

thank you for the advice ! I'll try your tip on a ball to see.
Tonight, I trained a little with my "painted" ball (see the topic in football tips section), I made little vids. I trained on the 20, 30 and 40yards. I have good success on 20yards average on 30 yards and 40yards. I have to find the good orientation of the base for the long passes. Here's some vids, especially for Gaeta (to let him see that real passing is possible with TTQB even for beginners like us) because I don't think there is anything impressive for american MF pros 20yards 30yards 40yards (note that the first pass is not good, the ball hits the floor before hitting the target) |

Good job Dimitri. Thank a lot for the vids. How many time you trained, to obtain so good throw?
And i will paint one ball, maybe if it is heavier, it will fly better. |
