They Basically have Gutted their offense...Westbrook gone...McNabb gone.....what offense do they expect to generate?

Redskins are now playoff bound.....I guarantee......This should be an interesting year.....

Guys don’t be surprised that Mike Vick is next to go, I listen to Andy Reid press conference. And name Kevin Kolb his starter.

Default What are they smokin!?

In this age of the pro athlete getting in the papers for all the wrong reasons, this guy went 11yrs with a white glove career. You have teams staying away from possible HOF'rs in the draft because of off the field crimes, but this guy was as dependable as they come. Handled a in game benching with class. A true Pro!
He said he wanted to retire an Eagle, and I thought he should have been allowed to. Take it he was't the most clutch QB playing, but he was solid. You throw in the class he has shown when lesser men would have lost-the-head, and you had what most teams only dream of having.

I really hope he takes the Skins to the playoffs and the Eagles go 4-12. I hope Vick can get out of there as well. If Kolb is the man, then I will eat my words, but I don't think he has it.
The other guy getting a screwing is Jason Campbell. They have tried to do nothing but replace him ever since he has been in Washington. If I were him I would pack my bags, put my house up for sell and get out of there!

Andy Reid is a big dummy! He thinks he can win throwing the ball 45 times a game...now let me see him do that with Kolb. The Eagles have no leaders on that team, they will struggle. Well I hope they will!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Dysfunctional

As I said in the past, the Eagles is a dysfunctional organization. Since McNabb has been an Eagle, the offense has been slighted. It has been slighted because they didn't have a true full back to block for Westbrook until last season, but that was too late. They had no real posession receiver until T.O. arrived. They tried to use Todd Pinkston as a posession receiver. He was not built for that type of play. To be honest last season was the first time that I saw McNabb really show his QB skills. Even then, they still didn't have a posession receiver.

My guess is that the NFL is trying to bring shock and awe to the league. It's all in an effort to sell tickets, jerseys, and boost television ratings.

In my mind, there is no other logical reaon to trade a player like McNabb to a division rival. That's like the Titans trading Chris Johnson to the Colts.

Default Curious!

I always thought that McNabb was a little overrated but he was better than 80-85 percent of the QB's in the league. I wonder if something happened in his relationship with Reid or is it something in Kolb that the rest of us have not seen. My problem isn't with Kolb, it's how the Eagles treated one of the best guys in the league. This was not a Dallas/Minnesota deal where Philly made a killing in draft picks. WHAT DO THEY GET OUT OF IT?

Default Draft Day

According to the NFL Network, the Eagles got some of the Redskins picks. They got the 37th pick in the 2nd round, which the Redskins gave up for getting McNabb along with some other picks. The total picks the Eagles have are 11. The picks are sprinkled throughout the draft. This puts the Eagles in a more strategic position to trade up and down the draft board.

Default Eagles always seem to aquire.......

extra draft picks.I too am surprised thats all they got for McNabb!Maybe Kolb is a stopgap situation or maybe he can step up(which I think he'll do just fine!)I don't think Vick is the answer.Maybe Coach Reid is buying himself some more time......if the eagles had kept McNabb there would be very high expectations......like getting through the playoffs and making good on the superbowl....hasn't happened so now maybe this buys Coach Reid a few more years of coaching them eagles with different qb?I hope McNabb does good with shanahan and skins.Should be fun to watch!

Default chime in

Being a diehard Eagles fan I just have to chime in. First, I am a fan of Donovan McNabb always have been And I really appreciate all that McNabb has done for us the past 11years. After all he is the best QB the Eagles have ever had. However Im not surprised to see him go. This is no diffrent when Cunningham took over for Jaworski and when Cunningham left. McNabb is a good QB but he had his chance at philly. Frankly I would rather take a subpar season than go through the season we had last year. As for trading him to the Redskins, the Eagles know what McNabb is capable of and they are not concerned. McNabb is a shadow of his former self and im sure Reid and McDermott knows this. If Kolb doesn't work out (which I believe he will) the fans will run Reid out of town. McNabb will be wecolmed back to philly and have his number retired in the future. But I believe the Eagles season has a lot of promise.
