In this opening game the Queen's Golden Gaels took on the University of Guelph Gryphons.

The Gryphons returned the ball to the 35 yard line on the opening kick off.

The Gaels managed to get a Sack on the first down of the game. However, the Gryphons were able to throw the ball well (with a TDQB from Geno) and monopolized the rest of the first quarter. The gaels defence bent but didnt break and late in the 1st they managed to stuff a crucial 2nd down rush attempt for a loss (remember canadian football only has 3 downs) forcing the gryphons to settle for a field goal (Geno's TDK did a great job)

The gaels got the ball early in the second quarter and ran the ball well (I was using dice to decide... fate wanted the Gryphons the throw and the Gaels to run).

The Gaels Running Back (#9 Marty Gordon) broke loose on second down and for some reason ran out of bounds at the 1 with seconds left in the first half.

the Gaels got to the line for what would be a goal line plunge, again by #9 Marty Gordon.

The Gaels strong offensive line push made Gordon's walk into the end zone Easy as the Gaels put up the first touchdown on their home field! (as it should be!)

Here is a site with Photos from the ACTUAL GAME from this past season

http://www.pbase.com/goldengaelsphot...07_guelph_at_q

Compare to see how well I did. I think I got the atmosphere to be fairly accurate.

(note: the gaels only started to paint the Centre Q logo on the field for televised games in the Playoffs. I also changed the arrangement of the Flags because I added the 2009 championship flag and ran out of room on that staff for the Queen's flag, so I flew it under the Canadian flag instead)

I really like the way you did the game cover! The photos are great. You have a wonderful stadium. Keep it up!
