I have to say, I got a big twinge on Sunday when Wolf said there was one hotel room left. I actually thought about coming out at the drop of a hat. Then I checked the prices for last-minute flights - oops, I'm staying home. Next year I'll plan ahead (like last year).

Default Convention Blues

As so often happens with my job, when I do plan to do something like go to an electric football convention or tournament, a "RUSH JOB" comes along that just "HAS TO BE COMPLETED BY MONDAY, SO IT CAN BE PUT ON A TRUCK". Which really sucks!!! since the dept I work in is the one that usually puts the finishing details on a lot of the jobs we do and we depend on all the other depts before us to get their job done so we can do ours.

I just have to keep telling myself, "I love my job, I love my job,..."

Oh well, at least I am getting some painting done on my WFL solitaire teams. (5 completed, 7 more to go.)

Geno, don't say that you will never be able to attend. Rumor has it that next year will be in a different location at a different date. As for winning the great Tweak Off, I wouldn't count on it. Let's just say that there's a new sheriff in town, and he's a one handed cripple.....

We missed all you guys and I know so many would come if it was possible for them. The convention is a great time among friends and is very inspiring for many of us in the hobby. I hope that all of you who couldn't make it can find some inspiration from it as well, especially knowing that the MFCA is bringing us all together daily thru this website and all of the things that the members do behind the scenes.
