If You Knew What I Saw
I spent 4 months in Cali and I must say that more than 50% of those kids out there WILL end up like Todd Marinovich. Trust me when I say, once the dads see their kids do that kinda stuff, they push them harder and harder to live up to the previous game or season. It's pretty sad to say the least. Most of those kids just give up, play video games and get fat because their dads are idiots.

Jimbo's right
Most of those kids reach thier peak at an early age, then don't pan out at the next level. I played against a kid in junior high that was a beast at running back (speed, size, power, he had it all). He ran all over our team in the 8th grade, for like 230 yards and 3 tds. BUT:
In high school, he didn't do anything like that. He was good in track, and played safety on defense, but was only a second string running back for his team. A couple of other track kids were better at learning the more complicated high school playbooks. We got our revenge for the 8th grade butt-kicking, we beat those guys four straight years in high school and we were state champions our senior year. We shut them out 42-0 the last time we played them. I can't help think that that kid should have made more of an impact in high school. |

That young fella has skilz
He's got speed , Dante Hall-esque moves, amazing balance, and some power to boot. I hope that he isn't like that guy that OU fan described when he grows up. I really like the plays that they run too. The handoff and the qb lead block, is pretty sweet, if only I could get my MF guys to do that  .

I agree with Jimbo
That little kid has amazing skills. I am not one for youth sports, just because of the parents. I encourage kids to play and try their hand at all sports, but I really have a difficult time going to see any of my nephews play, because of the behavior of the parents. It sickens me, granted, not all are bad, but there are always those few and it's really sad. This little dude knows he has skills and appears to act very humble about it. I wish him the best.

Great skills, Right offense!
Amazing to watch such speed, ability to COD on a dime and balance and the Perfect offensive system for his style of running and skills. My son just started playing last year - he'll love watching this.
