Touche
Touche, Shabby. I love ALL of RR's creations and I would play Weird Al's BOZOS in one if I could afford one! I used to like the CUBS until the 2005* Season when the WHITE SOX were going to the big dance and CUBS' fans were rooting against them!?! I lost respect for them as fellow Chicagoans and overall sports fans.
BEARS played there for 50 years! Sayers, Butkus, Grange. WOW. I'd like to resurrect them in a Wrigley Field of my own one day! *Pardon the typo! When did the CUBS win the World Series again? sntht$ Last edited by JIMBO : 12-16-2007 at 11:43 AM. |

Try to get get your facts straight when you are criticizing rtfl$ ...Sox were not in the Big Dance in 2006....try 2005....When you live in Chicago you are either a Cub Fan or A White Sox Fan.....

Wrigley field has a curse on it NOBODY can get rid of. from Leon Durham's ground ball thru the five hole in San Diego to Bartman they have no luck at all. btower06 and a WHITE SOXS FAN hey Jimbo, wont it be 100 years that they haven't been to the world series. BTower, When Chicago11 Calls
You've got to make the dream come true. I have been privileged to do Wrigley and Yankee Stadium in two of my latest projects. These are historic monuments that I always wanted to visit. I've driven by each one of these stadiums but never got to go in.
I remember Wrigley on TV when I was young. I saw Ernie Banks do his thing in the outfield and never thought I could bring Chicago to me. I remember Reggie Jackson in the 70's doing his thing and wondered about the drama going from Oakland to being a Bronx Bomber. Always wanted to go to that stadium. I guess the next best thing that I can do is bring these great venues to me. Wrigley may be a dump when you stay across the street from it but when you live 400 and 600 miles away, you appreciate the natural beauty of these monuments. It's kinda like Texas Stadium. Knowing when it opened and having officiated at that stadium, it was not cracked up what I thought it would be but it still remains a hot spot for many who love the NFL. For me, I am so happy Arlington is the site of the new stadium but the magic that Texas Stadium had will never be lost. They are talking about turning it into some type of eco-environmental residential city once the Cowboys leave. Reg |
