Hey Frank I've been behind on all the posts but now when I saw this one it has made me miss customizing. I know this team will turn out great, you got some great creativity here. Try this tip: to get rid of the plastic burn, try holding the figure more into the "base" of the flame (closer to the tip of the lighter) rather than letting the end of the flame hit the figure. The end of the flame is actually the hottest spot. Learned this after watching Reg. I've been able to eliminate the burn on the figures using this technique. You can alwasy cover it with primer, but eliminating the burn reduces painting time.
Great stuff, can't wait to see finished product. Joe

Great Tip, Joe!
You told me that one and it made life easier for me in my endeavors to cut and gut my BENGALS. Another tip Frank is get yourself some needlenose pliers to hold the figs under the heat!!! I just used nailpolish remover to get the krazy glue off of my fingers, but there are blisters underneath the glue underneath the dead skin!?!?!?!?!? I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!
One question though: what and why did you have to gut anyone? Those are HRs, PLs and BBs??? They make weight w/o gutting, don't they? Regardless, I can envision the OILERS blue on them and hope to get some board time with you in the near future. |
