Default Great work

I'm in Atlanta, and I had no idea Morehouse was playing out there--great job--you guys are the kings in my book. It's also great to see my helmet decals getting some TV exposure!!!

Thanks guys, thanks Wolf for posting the link.

Maurice, we can't really ask for more time, that's not how it works. When she covered us the first time last year at Hooters it was about US we had three great segments and showed the painting aspect, bases, figs etc. For all of the rest of the spots we are not the star we are only a part of the production so we have to get what we can without asking for more. If we were in her ear asking for more time, the first time would have been our last time...trust me.

If its one thing I've learned from being on TV/movie sets is to never suggest anything, only answer a question when asked. The directors and producers already have a vision it's up to us to do everything we can to bring their vision to life. You may have the perfect solution to their problem but keep it to yourself.

I learned this the hard way...just git in where you fit in!

Default I Understand

I know where you are coming from. I have a little experience myself in the business. I figured you guys have established a good relationship with KTLA to a point that you can really engage them more than someone just off of the street. At least you guys are in. That's more than any of us can say.

We've done that! (you blinked) you are not going to get a close-up of that magnitude, with a mobile unit! COACH. Lets be realistic and not obtuse! Remember it's the morning news not a commerical, where they are going to detail the image to the teeee!(miniature football) Coach you're a viewer and a consumer, make yourself heard send an e-mail to the station! Remember a water fall starts with one drop! then it becomes a massive force! And as a league the Laefl is a force! We make it happen! (if it aint broke why try to fix it?) Our mission is not figures. It social uplift and involvement. SOCIAL STRUCTURES ATTRACT NOT FIGURES! You can have all the figures in the world, and still no league with out organization.

Default Ktla

Ajahaana,

Hold your fire. You didn’t look at my last post. I don’t know all that took place on that set. Moreover, I don’t know how tight of a relationship you may have with the people of KTLA. I was only asking a question. As far as getting in close, those cameras have the capability. Maybe the news crew didn’t set up their telephoto lens. The camera has accommodations for various types of lens.

In regards to being social, that was covered very well by the news crew. I know my approach can be a bit “standoffish”, but don’t take it like I am not down. If you ever met me in person, you will find that I am the most down cat around.

In my opinion, talking about electric football doesn’t do it justice. Actually seeing the hobby in action is what helps it. When the hobby is displayed, it should be displayed in a way that it will attract the viewer. When it’s displayed from a distance, it’s implied that what you are seeing is not really important. The viewer becomes disconnected. I have found that when you say the words electric football to people who are not in it, the immediate response is negative.

I could send an email to KTLA expressing my views. I could send them one of my DVDs as a follow up, but that would be disrespectful to the LAEFL; it would be unethical. I would be implying that the LAEFL ain’t doin’ right. Don’t take it wrong. I am not saying that. That’s why I keep my comments in house among those who are part of this hobby. With your permission, I can send something to KTLA.

Maurice
