So far I have had some great responses. It would be great to hear more peoples opinions on the difference between the 308 boards and the 620 boards. Do most leagues use one vs another and why?

The 620 size boards were the largest ones made by Tudor/Miggle. The biggest complaint is that they are not quite wide enough with all the players on the field. Also, length wise they can be considered a little short. True to scale, a board would measure close to 7 feet long and about 3 feet wide. This size would be very clumsy and difficult to move around.

Most leagues are settling into the 2X4's. These are boards that measure appx. 2 feet wide and 4 feet long. Consider the size of a 620 is about 19 inches wide and 37 inches long. The extra 5 to 6 inches in width is trememdous when actually playing, as well as the extra 10 inches or so in length. 2X4's are large enough to give the game a more realistic feel, while still being small enough to be easily transported around. You can still have many enjoyable games on a 620, but sooner or later most guys desire the extra room of a larger board.

Default From the horses mouth

The 308 stretches 24 inches by 41.5 inches. It is made of wood and fiberboard. It can be customized to your liking. Just let us know what you want on it and it can be designed.

Reg,
Did you recently increase the length of your fields?

My 308 is 24x39" (fiberboard size) with the playing surface (inside the sidelines) measuring at 21.75"x38".

Reg
I'll try and call you tomorrow, I am interested in a Steeler board, did I also see that the playing surface could be switched around say if I wanted to use the same frame and insert a Buckeye board?
