Jimmie,

As an owner of a 308....... This board looks NOTHING like a 308. I think the only similarity between the two, is that the frames are rectangular, but I think that's a common trait on all boards.

The tweak published an article by Michigan Joe on how to make your own board. I think RPD is on record crediting M-Joe for the blueprints on how to make his boards, and Jimbo for his full-color customized field covers.

Jimmie-Jam... the differences are the surface: 24-guage sheet metal vs wood, the graphics, and (from what I've read) the motors. I hope this helps.

Peace,

Don

Jimmie,
I too own a 308, the only similarities are the dimensions, point period end of story. My 3924 board is metal and its screwed into the frame. My motor is also very different than that of a 308. I didn't steal anything from anyone never have and never will. Thanks for your help on this project Michigan Joe I could not have done it without you. My OU field is almost ready and it is a thing of beauty, it is by far the icing on the cake, pictures will be posted when completed.

Cool Jimmie...

My bad Mr. Jackson.

I guess I really didn't understand your question. I'll edit my previous post and take the "other stuff" out. My confusion was that, with all the boards that I've seen either live or via pictures... RPD's look nothing like a 308. They're not even remotely close in appearence. The field graphics alone are as dissimilar as it gets. They both might be roughly the same size, but so are a lot of different boards. It's like comparing apples to oranges; neither one is bad they're just different.

Peace,

Don
