I thank you.

Working on a father and son game day here at the Teen Center in New Brunswick, NJ any one interested please let me know.

STAY INSPIRED

NJ is in fiscal crisis and as a result my position as Family Liaison has been cut for 07-08. I am very optomistic about the future and I really want the EF buzz to stay alive in the public schools in New Brunswick, no matter where I end up. Watching these studenst develop coaching skills each week brought a great joy to my heart and I am sure other Coaches as well that supported our dream.

We made history......

June 1st, 2007 we will have our 2nd Buzzball/Martial Arts Banquet. If any Coaches would like to send any Buzzball related items as gifts for my students that will be greatly appreciated. I have attempted to get most of them boards, but I am only one Coach of many. Many great Coaches have sent teams, basses and the boys have loved them. Many original jr coaches have moved on to the middle school or transfered out. I hope to send each child away with 2 teams and possibly a board, so that they can continue to compete with eachother throughout the summer, and hopefuly their life time. "Keeps them off the streets"I have sprung for a few Football trophies and the deal is that I am planning 2 banquets in 1. It worked last year.

If you can not or do not wish to send anything please simply call as a well wisher during the banquet which starts at 6:00PM and ends at 8:30PM June 1, 2007, we will have dinner and a karate demonstration as well as an awards ceremony. If you are in the NJ area and wish to stop by please do. The address is

Electric Football/Buzzball Club

my cell if you wish to call on 6/1 is 1-908-239-1172 hope to hear from you Coaches. Thanks in advance Coach Karim "CJ Bombing Jets & Shakil's"
I hope that my last day of EF with the jr coaches go's out with a Buzz"
That part of my EFL life has changed but the love and wisdom I get from the Veterans of this game is incredible. I have met the KC crew, the Philly crew, some of the MI crew, and I finally met the Beltsville crew. What a warm group of brothers in Buzz and they have their games like the Barbershop...sharing stories, jokes, and wisdom.
Coach K-Lo,it was well worth the ride and I had a great time. I hope to visit again. It was you and Coach Pratt that told me how to best stop the pass and utilize my safeties effectively.

I always revert back to Coach Ed.Roche, a great friend and the inspiration for my desire to keep playing. Through him I met Coaches RaiderMan, Joe G, Norbert, Jeasymoney, K-Lo, Rip, National One,.......and the family continues to grow.
I will call the Coaches for wisdom and inspiration and they will share w/o reservation. I thank all of you Coaches that help elevate this game and make competition a Coaching influenced contest enabled by the proper bases needed to give us new people a chance to get out there and simply "believe" we have a chance at winning. This confidence empowered me to start Coaching with strategy in mind because my team had the necesary talent to keep me in games. I lost 17-0 back to back my first 2 games last year receive some draft picks from Coach Norbert, Jim Davis, K-Lo, Pratt...and then my games were 6-0 only giving up 2 FG, overtime 10-7, ..I ended my season 3-5 and made the NHF playoffs....My point I was inspired by the talent of my draft pics to coach them and I asked the veteran Coaches....how do you coach? I called them after every game reviewing the performance of the draft pics sent and how do I utilize their talents better. Even when I lost I felt like I had a chance of winning! I will continue to ask that same questioned and I have been inspired to work on learning the art of tweaking some bases, but I know and respect what the best at tweaking bring to our hobby......experience, strength, and hope. Thanks and now I am ready to....Electric Football!!! I am willing to travel within the tri state area for some scrimmages. Give me a call 908-239-1172 Coach Karim.

Thumbs up Buzzball/Public Schools Update

Coaches,
some of you may have read this and know that do the budget in NBPS I lost my job in June along with it some of the efforts to bring Electric football back to New Brunswick.

I was hired in South Brunswick Public Schools to on a partime basis to work in an afterschool Homework/Recreation program.........Buzzball in Central Jersey can grow again. My students in New Brunswick were given teams and boards... many donated and some I purchased myself from ebay as going away gifts.

Simply put if you have any items that you would like to donate towards my efforts they will be greatly appreciated, boards, teams, bases, time, lecture materials(RM:p ) please do. Please contact me if you wish to contribute to the new South Brunswick Public Schools Electric Football Program.

I knew this thing of ours was something special, but now it's getting us jobs wow. My first day of work is 9/3/07 so please feel free to contact me if you are willing and if not I thank you simply reading this post.

Default I have a few things to donate...

I have about 15 old school Tudor NFL teams from ~1985, could you use those? If so let me know where to send them, either post address here or send me a PM. I'll try to tweak up a few bases too.

Good luck working with the kids!
Joe

Lightbulb How do we carry this on when we just want to keep it to our selves

This is just my observations. I have reached out to Coaches to get my EF school league started (2nd school league new school district). The truest fellow Coaches have came through via through teams, EF agendas, bases, visits, all with the intent of spreading the EF philosophy to our youth. Many have again recommited to sending what they could and again thanks (Coaches if you have donated in the past please do not concern yourself for there is enough Coaches out there to for our youth. I am sure I am not the first Coach to attempt this. I am looking for that fellowship that I read about in the post, I have not met all the Big name Coaches out there yet, But I have met many ER, RM, JG, KL, NR, JD, GD, GH, KB, N1, KC , CS, WW, and others. They all had the big hearts to match them. If nothing else send a couple of pencil written plays
Thank you for the replies, but my heart gets heavy when there is a scattered response when I attempt to do things to help our youth, to give them options other than the streets. This EF thing helped me and I hope to pass it on.

Think of this ask a kid who a certain NFL star is and they will run the list, then ask a kid who a certain EFL Coach is (not your sons/daughters) lol and then you will see that we must nurture and pass this on. We are the children of the EF beginning and as men we must make sure it never ends.

This why I came back and yes I have only played 1 major tournament, and attended 2 but I felt like I was back home with my crew(friends/family) getting ready for some fun competition This EF hobby has revigorated my sense of purpose. When us Coaches telephone eachother for the meeting point before we go to our league games, there is nothing like the feeling of being a part of something so special!!1

I read a brothers post a while back and he made an all out call for the younger generation to comeback for he felt something was missing in his EF experiences(dont want to miss quote you my brother)

This is what I do: I teach a karate program 3 days a week, I race slot cars and buzz with my 2 youngest children every night I get the chance. I recently went on ebay and purchased some teams and boards inspite of the fact that I am only working 3 hours a day and collecting partial unemployment (due to a budgetary reasons at my old job): I DJ, and collect HO slot cars. I have never forgot why I am alive..God spared me from the streets and I made a concious decision to give something back" and i know by way of evidence that many Coaches feel the same way.

I know many of us have been burned by scammers and hustlers and perhaps this is why the response was minimal and hey if that is it, then it is better than any wrongful assumptions. If you have read this far thanks and I left this on my post because it will be viewed at a later date and by then many of us will just take a retrospective view and say we are all aging and if we do not pass this back to the rightful inheriters of EF;the PS2, Xbox, and Wii generation will steal them away as it did my oldest son until he just enrolled in Norfolk University in VA and called me and said "...guesss what dad...they have a EF league on campus  " I love this thing of ours and maybe he can find the love for it too and that day will come when we play a full game and converse as Coaches:rolleyes: If you wish to start a HO racing club at a school or in your community, I have plenty of Xtra track to donate.

any donations can be sent to:

Coach Karim-c/o Cambridge School Ef Club
1308 Centennial Ave #320
Piscatway, NJ 08854

as soon as God makes me a full timer I will give you an address directly at the school If it is His will, it shall happen
