Joe
I agree with you on some accounts. I have been to the Convention 2 years in a row but have really only spent time in the CBSMF. If you are in the tourny it is to consumming. I would like to keep them together but make changes to the tourny so one could do both and not miss the other . To bad we have to sleep. i don't have the answers but would like for some people to think about some changes.

The mission is fellowship and participation and I can see the event moving to different regions of the country, keeping in mind that when the MFCA was formed it was divided up into regions of the country so that all coaches can participate.

The Board of Directors will open up a separate post for discussion from the body regarding where we may hold next year's Convention.
Was highly contested and one coach said it was the most exciting, well played game he had seen.

Default 2 cents

REGGIE, WHEN I had the VEGAS tourney no one came from the EAST except HARVEY. I EVEN HAD DOC SMEBY come from ENGLAND. DAVE&ERIC'S OPEN RUN,ONLY STEVE MARTIN CAME. so DRE, if you knew the history you would know that we can't get people to come west were it is the best.
if you go on line & look at plane tickets, it is cheape to fly to VEGAS thanany other city. that is why not only SHABBY but other coaches on the left coast feel left out.
next year the CBSMF is in VEGAS, SO LET'S see how many right coast coaches come left?

So is this a hunch you have or a valid statement, that the CBSMF is headed to Vegas? Just curious that's all.

Default My thoughts........

.........I think we move the CBSMF Playoffs to another month. Still have the convention in Canton but change the venue of the CBSMF to another month. I know the Open run is in October but we could move that to April or May and then move the CBSMF to October. Prices to fly are cheaper then because it is the fall and school is in so many folks don't travel at that time. Hotels are a lot cheaper then also. Just my ----ing 2 cents.

Default what if the

coaches,

What if the open run was moved to vegas in march (cooler weather) and billed as the big cbsmf kickoff for all conferences. The championship bowl series remained in canton as the end of the cbsmf season. Months are split nicely apart so they are no to close to one another. Everything in between is on the conferences.

I really wanted to play our Michigan vs. Michigan game we've talked about since we met up in Chicago. When I was free to play you seemed to always be reffing. Having played in my first real shootout game I completely understand why a ref is needed, its just a real tough time committment. I'm still looking foreward to our game...next time for sure!

That would have been a great match-up. Only bad thing about it is that Michigan would win. . This is why I think the CBSMF should be separate, or condensed (make all games college O.T. until the final 4) so we can play some of these great coaches.

ARE WE(THE CBSMF) READING OUR OWN PRESS CLIPPINGS.......

We went from 1EVENT( EVERYONE ENJOYING EVERYONE'S COMPANY UNDER ONE ROOF) TO 2 EVENTS( NOW CAUSING FOLKS TO HAVE TO CHOOSE WHICH EVENT THEY WILL ATTEND) THEREFOR LOSING POTENTIAL COACHES FOR THE CBSMF AND FUTURE MEMBERS TO THE MFCA WHAT HAPPENED TO UNITY, INTEGRITY BLAH,BLAH,BLAH

GUESS THAT ALL GOT LOST WITH SOME OF THE EGOS FLYING AROUND HERE......I GUESS WE TAKE ONE STEP FORWARD AND THEN FALL IN THAT HOLE......

PEOPLE WAKE UP....WE JUST HAD A VERY NICE EVENT TO ONLY REVERT BACK TO THE OLDEN DAYS OF DIVIDE AND CONQUER
MORE RULESETS TO LEARN, STYLES TO PLAY AND SLOWLY WORKING OUR WAY BACK TO DIVISIVENESS.....WHERE ARE WE REALLY GOING IN THIS HOBBY??????
