Default picture advise

Hi,

If you camera has a "macro" mode, try to use it. It's often represented by a flower icon (tulip) on cameras.

Concerning light, try to make pics with daylight, not directly on the figure (direct sun on the figure will saturate the colors on the pic). In the same idea, night pics/not enough light will create noise (the points we can see on the picture).

If you have not a macro camera, try to make the picture from a bigger distance, keeping the camera not moving at all, with good light, and then, with the photo software you have, reduce it to improve the details.

Here's an example with your own picture, reduced to a 400px width. It's not perfect, mostly due to the light and lack of macro mode, but the figure is more "read-able".

Hope it will help you !

ps :
These days a decent 8M pixels camera with macro mode costs about 70USD, more or less depanding of the shop (search for sales and stuff like that). Even if I know 70USd can be used for other things more important than a camera, for an hobbyist (especially when you're into internet community boards) is a good investement.
