While on the phone with Sweetka last night all I could hear where Jim and Norbert going at it, sounded like one heck of a fun time.

Congratulations to both coaches and thanks for the talk Sweetka,I enjoyed it.

Thumbs up Here is some footage!

To clarify the fumble rule:

History: Adapted from the DEFL at the inception of the Great Lakes League. the rule originally read:

A fumble is contact to a ball carrier by legal tackle of the opposing player (front of base). If all bristles (reeds) are not touching the ground as a result of such legal contact it is considered a fumble. It was very clear that if your reeds are not on the ground after the end of the play, regardless to whether being supported by a player or not, it is considered a fumble. The analogy was falling into, or on top of a player, after losing the football. It's just that simple. Jamel is correct.

That rule has been too longstanding. Sorry if you were adversely affected last week but that rule has been there, and interpreted the same way, for ten years. Send out a memo to all for consistency.

Now here's some pics of a great game!

If the prongs are off the board, it's a fumble, clean and simple.

Norbert

You guys just need to take care of that with everyone.

Congratulations, and I wish both I and my camera hadn't died.

Good luck down the way.

Default VERY NICE GAME TO BOTH OF YOU.

1ST OF ALL HOW DID YAU"LL PLAY A GAME WITH THE SAME COLOR TEAMS? THE LIGHT AND DARK DON"T APPLY NO MORE?. LOL. BUT NO OFFENSE TO ANY ONE, BUT THAT GUY GOT SMASHED. FUMBOOOOO!!! FROM THAT DEVISTATING HIT. IT SHOULD BE WHERE HE LANDS AND FALLS AT. HE WAS 2YDS SHORT. (QUESTION) WHY IS IT DIFFERENT FUMBLE RULES IN THIS HOBBY? MAYBE BECAUSE MANY HAVE NOT EVER PLAYED REAL FOOTBALL. ALSO, THAT RULE IS A REAL OLD FUMBLE RULE THAT COULD BE TWEAKED. BUT TO ME IF A PLAYER GET"S HIT AND HIS PRONGS IS NOT TOTALLY ON THE FIELD OR HE"S LAYING ON ANOTHER PLAYER, THEN HE BOBBLED IT AND MAINTAINED POSSESSION BUT IS TACKLED. HE'S DOWN BUT DIDN"T FUMBLE (ALMOST. BUT ALMOST DON"T COUNT), HE SHOULD BE ALL THE WAY ON THE BOARD FOR A FUMBLE, MANY PLAYERS IN REAL LIFE GET HIT AND BE ON 1 LEG AND WITH SECOND EFFORT GET TACKLED, FUMBLE AND STILL RECOVER THE BALL. WHERE IS THE PROTECTION FOR THE RUNNER THAT IS TRYING HARD? DON"T JUST GIVE THE BALL AWAY TO THE DEFENSE, LET THE DEFENSE TRULY EARN IT! THIS RULE IS JUST AS BAD AS STACKING.ELEVATE THAT"S A RULE WE PLAYED WHEN WE WAS LITTLE KIDS CAUSE WE NEEDED A CRUTCH. BUT ANY WAY MUCH LOVE TO ALL RULES AND COACHES AND TO THE BOTH OF YOU COACHES. YOU GUYS REALLY ARE CLASSY INDIVIDUALS AND DESERVE IT. YOU BOTH ARE A GOOD INSPIRATION TO THIS HOBBY AND HAVE BEEN FOR MANY YEARS I RESPECT THAT. GREAT GAME BUT, THE BULLDOGS WANT A PIECE OF BOTH OF YOU SO YOU BOTH CAN WITNESS THESE WILD AND MEAN BULLDOGS. (YES I SAID IT). LOL. DON"T UNDERESTIMATE THE DOGS. RRRRRRRR. NO CURS HERE. ONLY CUSTOMIZED GAME BRED ATHLETES. LOL GREAT GAME FELLAS HOPE TO SEE ALL YOU GREAT FUN HAVING GUYS SOON!!!!!!!!!! I TWEAK MY OWN BASES

Huh! If he was going for extra yards he would have stood back up. He got blasted and knocked off his feet (no prongs). It beats shaking a box like yahtzee because your players don't have both speed and power to blast a guy off his feet. Just my thoughts.

The Great Lakes and it's coaches have elevated the hobby and that is why you see so many geographical leagues as opposed to 5 people playing in a state. Now everyone is doing it. We did it in 2001.

Face it, this isn't about a rule interpretation or Kudos. It's about tooting your own horn. Hopefully, you will come to Miggle and play. We all see how well you have done out west and would love to see both you and your finely tuned bases perform.

Great job them dogs, out west.

You are from back East and Dominant.
Vince is from down the road about an hour and Dominant.
Eric T came from back East, pre tweak, and Dominant.

After two it was no longer a coincidence.

Way to rep the West by way of East. Hope you can make it to Miggle!
