Thumbs up Weirdwolf

Can a separate section be created for chat? Just a thought.

This thing is great. It does hide some post but we are experimenting. Right?

Like it, using it and starting to get used to it being on top of the posts...if it were elsewhere I'd probably forget to check it out

Default Not bad

Let's see how it works at the bottom of the page or as Shabby suggested on the homepage.

Default Chat

I like the suggestion of being on the front page of the website.

I agree with Joe.

For me, if it were on the home page, i prolly wouldnt go much cause i come straight here. Whats good about it on the forum page is that you can chat and browse the forum at the same time. OR more so, hit the forum with the usual business and keep tabs on and browse the chat board, at the same time.

It is in the way up top, does take away from the forum and has somehow pushed all Title Text to the center of the page when on the forum.

If it could be smaller, like in a long rectangle on the side of the page and not on top or bottom of the forum, that would be good.

All in all though, i like it. Last night, i came here to check something on the forum with an idea i am working on, but chat quick with Hoop27 and MikeKliegnbel. It was cool, never "spoke" to the guys other than pms. Did that and the forum at the same time, so "I LIKE IT LIKE THAT, YEAAAAAHHHH BABY, I Like It Like That!!!! i like it like that"

Leave it like this for a month and we will all get used to it.

my 2cents.

We should all chat this instead of posting.

Default At Work

New Chat Feature officially placed this site on the "Banned website list" as it now shows as a social chat network which is not allowed at my workplace. Not trying to be a party pooper but you did ask for opinions. I think the chat for those of us who like to check in at work would better server on the HOME page verses the forum. If not I can check in at home no big deal just leaving some feedback.

I also agree with Jamel G, I have not logged on at work since the chat was up, but a lot of us do get on during work hours and that may affect the ability for some to access the site during this time.

Thanks for the opinions. This is just a test. We have tried chats on the bottom of the forum and the front page of the main site and they largely went unused. I am in Denver at the moment for a wedding and will talk to the board. Ideally, I think the bottom of the forum would be great for it, but it bothers me that some are blocked from the site at work.

Keep the opinions coming. Again this is just a test and we will try and find the best place for it so that it benefits the majority.

It can be used as a pop up in a seperate window so we may be able to wrangle it to be placed on its own page which would give people an option.

Thanks for the open responses!

Perhaps it can be resized so it does not take up so much room.
