Congratulations on your championship. They are certainly hard to come by in these leagues nowadays.
Thanks for the congrats.. I'd better savor it, cuz you never know when another one will come, if ever..

But again.. I got bases from Norbert.. Strength bases.. I needed a gauge to go by.. To see how far my own tweaked bases had to go...

But by the same token, I have tweaked RB's for different things...

The strength bases allowed me to smash mouth right up the middle, and then it opened up the outside.. And the RB I tweaked, which was a SD black base from George.. Will go left, then cuts right.. And after it cuts right, It'll go 95 yards.. (now if I could only duplicate it.. lol) And it hits the hole quickly, and it's gone..

Tweaking is just a matter of training the base to do what you want it to do. (no epiphany there for ANYONE)..

Tweaking, Coaching.. whatever.. It's all part of the game.

And luckily for me, for one day, my guys didn't miss many assignments..

Default Hold ON

WOW.......All I did was ask a logical question , that had nothing to do with style .

Coach K-Lo :

1: I don't know what "MPL" is ?
2: I said nothing about my style ! So what are you talking about ?
3: Why can't a tweaked base catch a pass , split defenders , turn up field ? sorry you did say you pivot , but why if a tweaked base can do it all ? You shouldn't need to pivot .

The point of my question has been over looked due to the fact that MANY COACHES DON'T LIKE ME ! Because of this no matter what I say they feel the need to defend something .

Brian:

Thank you so very much for your responce to my question , your answer was both logical and respected . Thank you for staying on the subject unlike some who took the question some place it didn't need to go .

Default ummmm there is a correction here

Norb, probably the greatest commercial base dealer of all time, hasn't won a championship in our league. However, Pat Casey, Simmie Lassiter, Greg Hardmon, Erick Thompson, a pure speed tweaker, are not known for their ability to tweak but they obviouly know something because they have won the last four championships.

Norb is the current DCEFL college Champ in the D! A championship in which he beat....let's see hummmmm Greg, Simmie, Jamel, Jim and YOU! Give the man his props. He's only been in the Great Lakes I believe 3 seasons and has proberly the best record for any coach who hasen't won yet........

Default A Newbie's Opinion

I Want To Go Record Saying Without Purchasing The Coach's Dvd's I Would Be Lost When It Comes To Tweaking. With The Dvd's You See It Rather Just Read It And It Makes A Big Difference! I Thank Coach Sean And Coach Smitty For Making Them!

Exclamation Thanks for the Update Jamel!

I appreciate that. This was an analogy, sorry I didn't include the college joint. Knowing that's your baby I can understand the position. My point was about tweaking vs coaching. I can only go by the information available. If I missed something it wasn't because I was a little brat , I just gave thoughts off the top of my head and related it to the Great Lakes and the intensity of competition there. No offense, but come to think of it the college joint was much more laid back, and fun, but my analogy stands and if I wanted to bash anybody, TRUST ME, it would stand alone on it's own post.

I think you dropped something here

"Best commercial tweaker of all time!" -is true
"Our league"-Great Lakes, not DCEFL, not DEFL, not Motor City EFL

Once again, it's an analogy, you can't ignore the complement to ascentuate a negative. But it's your word dude so whatever. Hopefully we'll leave it at this but I know what's up so I'll keep writing, offline.

PS Why didn't you speak up for Jimmy? Surely I bashed him too since he just went to his first GLEFL Superbowl. That wasn't the intent here but I stand by what I said.

Default Tron

Send me a PM regarding purchasing the DVD. I don't run through a lot of bases so I'd like to check it out, see if I could add something. I have a 45 man roster in the league and I went through 62 bases. I don't believe in messing over bases and I would not have used that many if prolines weren't making such a difference in competition.
