The BOX
Reg
Your chart is great! I was trying to think of a way to incorporate injuries and penalties into our league here and this chart works nicely. However, we have been using a shoebox to substitute for the "Box". Everyone who has not tried this style of play is missing out. It brings the coach and the spectator so close to the felling of a real game Reg, Did you happen to send my "Box" out yet? Thanks again for the chart |

Attn: 46Defense, Phillyfanatic, and French Guy
I've been telling people about the Action Simulation for MANY years. I can tell you that from my experience, it helps keep things "fresh".
Those aspects of MF can not be simulated how I want without "The Box". I am just "giddy" about having to play a season using the weeks and season ending the way that I want to. Can you imagine, creating the Super Steelers with players at 7 and 8 grams such as Joe Greene, Ernie Holmes, and Dwight White. Then you shake that box up and "Wham, DT (Joe Greene) out for 5 weeks". What a devastating blow to a team that put a lot of stock into this player! Then, Dwight White gets a season ending injury which makes Pittsburgh have to put in light weights like Jon Banazak! Imagine the great Jim Brown, weighing 6 grams and terrorizing the league, gets hurt and now, "What does the Browns do?" Their second stringer weighs only 2.7 grams and you have to go with it! Or imagine the great 1985 Bears losing Walter Payton for 2 quarters because of a hamstring pull! How devastating can that be to the Bears championship run. Between injuries, penalties, and fumbles, this can be a lot of fun. I love the fact that now, I get to see about me. Do what I always wanted to do. And not be bothered. I get to stay up late hours and play when I want to and using the injury rules the way they were meant to be used. Learn the chart and enjoy the chart. Trust me, it will make the game not boring anymore. And you will be able to talk about it to. And the guy that's listening will think you are talking reality! Reg |

Yes, it exactly what I thought (but without the athletes names ). It's a really good addtion for solitaire play. Since here in France, it's possible I'll just find casual gamers to play on versus (wich means demo "soulless" teams to keep the game fair and balanced), I have a great hope in solitaire play to be able to do fine customizing and bases tweaking. And your chart will be helpfull for that. |

Creating the Rulebook to be Fair
Everybody probably played alone for many years so I think many of us had a playbook in mind.
The first version is nearly finished in theory but will be tested sometime soon. These are plays that I know work well in miniature football but developing the defensive schemes to be fair to this is another thing. reg |
