Arrow Fixed!

I tweaked the code to clear to zero... refresh your browser window to verify.

Inputing the names or any other user manipulated data requires a much more in depth amount of coding that I'm not up to speed with.

Enjoy,
DR

is there a function that will let you put the team names in instead of home and away?

I can help with that.

First, go on the scoreboard adress :

http://www.rollerboardsonline.com/scoreboard-clock

then, in you web browser, go in the top menu and choose "file/save as".

Now, open the file you saved (.html file) with a text editor, like wordpad on windows or gedit on linux.

Now, in the text file, search for "home" and "visitor" entries (see pic1).

Now, simply change the names with the ones you want (see pic2), and save the file.

Now, just right click on the file, and choose "open with internet explorer/safari/firefox or whatever you're using for web surf". ANd it's done ! You don't need an internet access to use it. (see pic 3)

Now, if you want to go deeper, you can change some other things. You'll notice that making only these modifications do not allow you to use long names. If you want to use long names, here's a rough solution :

re-open the file with your text editor, search again for the "home" and "visitor" entries. Make exactly the same modifications you can see on pic 4.

If you want more, search in the top of the file for the "ws24 value. (see pic 5) and modify to 25px.

It's done, now you can use about 13letters by team. (pic 6)

No problem, for me it seems obvious since it was my former job

I'll prepare you a blank file, and try to explain you how to change the names. Let's me a couple of days maximum to do it (probably tommorow)

Default here it is

Here's the attached file (scoreboard.zip) already modified to use longer names.

On the example pic, you see (marked in yellow) the "home" and "visitor" you should replace with your own teams, for each game. I also added a html comment (the statement in blue) to help you to find the correct lines.

SO download the zip filed, and take the html file in it.

THen, open it with that software (if you're using windows) :

http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

And just change the names as I explained. Then, save the file. Now, double clicking on it should open the scoreboard with teams new names.

If it's not working, right click on the saved file and open it with your usual web browser (you should have an option visible in the menu, like "open it with firefox" or "open it with internet explorer").
