Hi Michael,

Your time during spring break was VERY well spent. You did excellent work and I am impressed with all of your figures. I really like the Jim Brown figure and I am very impressed with the facemasks. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing. By the way check your PM.

Have a good day and thanks again for sharing.

Coach J

Default OUTSTANDING

gridironpainter-
Those troops are outstanding. Those of you who paint and sculpt the poses at that caliber are amazing. You should be very proud of your work- it is fantastic!

That Bradshaw figure is incredible. He's so detailed, he looks like a playable version of a MacFarlane throwback figure like they sell in the stores.

I think I'm an OK painter, but I don't know how I'd ever do work of that quality.

Ditto what everyone else said. I like the more subtle grass effect that you have on Bradshaw's base. What did you use to achieve that?

Default Thanks!

Thanks again for your compliments. I am already talking to my wife about letting me go to Canton. I had been planning that before I ever posted things on here. Derrick Thomas is my favorite player and I want to be there for his induction. I would be excited to meet you guys, and I would be very glad to share my methods with you. As for the grass on Bradshaw, I wanted it to look more like astroturf so I used Woodland scenics blended turf. I painted it a green color after it was glued and then I went back with a lighter drybrushing. I can't decide if I like it more. I wish the static grass was just a little shorter, but I like that it seems natural. My question is how would they be mounted to a base for playing without knocking the grass off when you slide the base on. Would a double sided tape be the best solution?
