Default MIN-TOM, YOUR CRAZY.

Tom,

your crazy sitting through that game. I was cold watching it on TV.How many cups of hot chocolate did you have to go through ?
dont just say you were there, give us some accounts on what happened duriing that day. They say that was the 2cnd or 3rd coldest game in history.

Did they still tailgate in the parking lot ? Green bay fans are known for tailgating heavily. Tom coflin's face was so red i thought it was going to fall off.

Here is the big quesh.

Did your car start with no proiblem after all that time at the game ? The oil should have been like a pop sickle after 20 minutes.

Thanx

Default Packers v Giants NFC Champ Game

Dre,

It was definitely frigid. The sad thing was that it really wasn't that great of a game on either side...more like a game of survival.

Tailgating: Usually we tailgate and "do it up right" with brats, sausages, and an occasional bloody mary. For that game, however, we opted to tailgate in a heated Miller tent that was across the street. There was a band playing and I remember that they played "New York / New York" to welcome some of the Giant faithful fans...to which they promptly went up on stage and did a chorus line kick.

The cold was bad, but the fans were pretty well prepared. We brought some blankets to put on the cement so that our feet weren't touching cold. I dressed in layers and had full facemask. The only mistake I made was wearing hiking shoes instead of boots that had a lot of wiggle room which would've kept my feet much warmer. I had hand warmers inside my gloves so they were fine.

The thing I remember most, though, was halftime. I've never seen a bathroom so crowded...because it was the only place that was heated. I stayed in there for a full 10 minutes just to warm up.

As for the car, I was worried. We all had jumper cables ready, but fortunately I had just traded in my car a month earlier so I had a new van and it did start right away. Thanks Chrysler!

I'll likely be at the Vikes Packers game in Nov when Favre returns...that should be surreal. Yes, I'll boo him. When he enters Canton I'll cheer him, but when he's wearing Purple and the drama he pulled the past 2 years deserves a boo in my opinion.

Default Adding a new...

stadium to our list this Sunday as Nick and I travel to Gillette Stadium to watch his Patriots take on the Falcons.

Row 1, Section 101 - right next to the players entrance - should be great - of course Nick can't wait!

Default Packers Vikings in Lambeau

I just found out that I will be going to the Packers-Vikings game in Lambeau on November 7th. A buddy of mine had an extra ticket and decided not to be greedy and sell it to the highest bidder. I can't wait.

1) Yes, I will boo Favre (I will cheer him in Canton but for now I will boo him for how he's acted over the past few years).

2) Trying to figure out the sign I'll bring: For now it is between a few:

a) Basic Math: 12 > 4
b) We'll never forget you Brent
c) The streak stops here
d) It's never been about ME...if you don't believe ME, just ask ME
e) 4Gone Conclusion - Packers beat Vikes

Default JETS

Had season tickets for the JETS from 1979-1993 before I transfered to Atlanta. Was at the last game played at Shea by the JETS (CRAZY) and the first at the Meadowlands. Missed very few games throughout the entire time frame no matter the weather. Some of the best memories of my life taking close friends, new friends, wife, family, folks from work, etc to the games.

Used to go to all the open practices at Hofstra as well w/the wife and "babies" in strollers when they came along. The 2 boys at 22 and 25 are still advid crazy JET fans...I trained them well .

That's when life was good. I get Falcon, Ga. Tech and Bull Dawgs opportunities to games often as many folks I know hold season tickets. I go once in a while, just not the same...

Thanks for posting and allowing me to bring some of those memories back to the surface of my "damaged" mind...

I have been a Carolina Panthers PSL/Season Ticket holder from the very beginning. Sent in my PSL deposit before the NFL granted Charlotte the 31st franchise. I generally do not miss any home games.

In fact, back in the 1-15 season, the last game of the year was against the Patriots. It was the season that the Pats won their first SB. Anyway, it was a cold and rainy day in Charlotte and when the game started, there were only about 20,000 people there, and more than half of those were Pats fans. Anyway, by halftime, most of the Pats fans that were scattered through the stadium had migrated to the lower section behind the Patriots bench. I looked around and noticed that I was the ONE and ONLY person sitting in my section, Section 550. The only person. The Charlotte Observer ran a front page story in the Sunday paper a few weeks after that about fan interest in the Panthers and they had a picture of a lone fan sitting in the stands. That lone fan was me...wearing my Green Bay Packers hat. It was pretty funny.

I have also been to Lambeau Field four times to see my beloved Packers play. I have also been to Philly and Tennessee to see the Packers, and have been to other NFL games in Dallas and Atlanta.

A few years ago, I went to the Packers Shareholder's meeting and got to tour the Packers Locker Room. That was pretty cool.

Obviously, when I was in college at NC State I never missed a home game and went to two Peach Bowl games. Since then, I have been to a handful of State games. I plan to go to the Wake Forest-NC State game and the Duke-NC State game in October.
