Thats all I am saying by no visible weights. You can give them bigger tummies, larger arms etc. That is custom. Maybe the definition needs refining. I just don't want to see visible lead tape or blocks of putty that are not part of the customization of the figure.

The 3.3 class already includes all the Miggle/Tudor figures and bases that a new person is likely to buy. So why is there a 3.3 custom class? Why would they be at a disadvantage if their Miggle Big man comes in at 3.2 with a TTC and a custom guy on a TTC is the same 3.2? Even if the new guy uses lighter Miggle figures, how hard is it going to be for him to figure out how to glue a BB or 2 under a base to bring the guy up to 3.2 or 3.3? Basically, the 3.3 class is there for the new guys who don't know how to play yet coming in with stock teams so that they won't get destroyed by heavier players. What will destry them is their lack of base tweaking skills. So whether or not it's a stock guy at 3.3 or a custom figure at 3.3 isn't going to make any difference. It's the base tweaking skills that will!

Default AL REVEENA HAS A GREAT POINT.

COACHES,

Sorry guys but al has an incredible point. WHY ARE THEIR 2 SEPERATE CLASSES FOR 3.3 ? What different does it make if it is a stock or custom. This does not make sense what so ever. That's like your pants asking you to wear a belt and suspenders at the same time to hold him up. This is like your lawn asking for water so you go out and put on your sprinklers during a hurricane. No matter what the source, the grass is still getting watered at 3.3 million drops.

Why would you seperate a custom and stock at the same weight. That is not happening at 4.0. ff.net stock figure and a custom figure are pretty common on the same team.

The only thing i can think of is this is a visability issue. Maybe customs do not blend well with stock figures.

Al reveena makes valid points. WHY THE SEPERATION. ?????????

So your saying if a new coach begins with all stock figures, then he wants to add a custom or 2 to the same team with the same weight. He must go to a different class ? why ?

Default Man this topic keeps pulling me in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guys play 3.3 no added weight. I'm not talking about the epoxy, and other methods guys use to make the figs look more realistic...those are okay.
So you might have guys that weight 2.8 or 3.0 on that team. That's okay

Then you have 3.3 weighted. Which means you can take something ie,. lead tape or that stuff Wolf is talking about and you bring every player up to the 3.3 limit. That is what you would call weighted or custom.

Al & others that don't play in competitive leagues probably don't get the magnitude, but it does matter.

It's fine to have classes and to be defined as a hobby/sport. BUT you have to watch labeling stuff because you will slight something or somebody.

Question to Gutt............what would you call your painting skills?
You may say you're an expert. Others may see Gridiron as an expert or French guy. And they may say you are a novice. You can say that doesn't bother you, but I would say you're not telling the truth if you said that.
Let's just take that novice or advanced talk out, and keep it moving.

Corey and I posted at the same time. It does matter and Corey nailed it.
Dre, I thought you were only playing at 4.0 and above anyway...

Default .

IMHO there should be no "artificial" weight added, (nuts, lead tape, etc). They are what they are.

Beltville is playing 3.3 does that make them novice or rookies? no its just the preferred weight from that area. Wolfs labeling as weight classes is on point, I see Ntls point, if u guys proceed in a well thought out manner, with all veiw points considered, I have no doubt the community will support whatevers decided. Also the difference between 3.3 stock & 3.3 custom is just that, some areas dont allow custom figs. it would be unwise not to recongnize that. Its important to leave options as we all dont play the same, not yet anyway.
