I have been ridiculed by people about the game but I have no problem with playing with toys! I love toys! You come to my house and you will see I am not that serious! I love to have fun and I have fun things, namely toys!
I play the game to have fun! The guys in my league play the game to have fun! When you're sitting around debating whether to use the TTQB or Pass Simulation, are you really having fun. One of the great things about not wanting to change the world is that if you do something with great passion and people see you having fun doing it, inevitably others will follow.
Man, we just spent 2 hours sitting around discussing league play, who the best passers are in league history, and other things miniature football related. We look at ourselves sort of like the NFL QBs. There is NO parity in how we see ourselves. Some of us are better passers than others. Sometimes that is reflected in our team's records and passing stats.
But we all think, "Why should I be penalized because you don't take the time out to practice throwing the ball like I do?" Similarly, I think the same of Tom Brady versus Tavarius Jackson. Being a big-time Vikes fan, I've got to be real. Somewhere along the line, TJackson did not put in the same time that Brady did in learning how to throw the ball. It's obvious by his stats. But why should Tom Brady be penalize because he's more skilled at that aspect of the game. Jackson may have him in other areas but that's football.
I knew this thread would go right to this same manner. My thinking is that arguing this point does nothing to creating the solution. One league is still gonna do what they want to do. Another league is still going to do what they want to do.
Raven Maniac, I love the way that TTQB is created. I think it is really perfect engineering. John Tudor had it right back in the 60's. I've designed other QBs which throw the ball but it always comes back to the consistency of this toy. I always say, "When in Memphis, do what the Memphians do".
I can only speak from a perspective of TTQB. All I can tell you is that when you master the pass and light bulbs are popping off in your face because you have to throw into heavy coverage with a safety draped on you and the corner is running step-for-step, there is no greater arena than making that most difficult pass in Gillette Stadium. It is magic! And the aftermath of guys screaming "Wow, did you see that?" is one of the greatest feeling you would ever experience!

Reg I just have this funny idea that you've already done this and you're waiting for the right time to show us. But yeah the 60's QB is great if you can find them. Reg that's your task Sir work with that....Oh my fault you already have it. Fella's Happy New Year and God Bless
