Default I hear ya Treks1 but...

as you stated, we are merly 200 and that is pushing it. If Excllibur can reach millions, and recoup the funds they invested, then make some...I think it is a wise business move to do things the way they are doing them. After all, they did sell out of stock. This is the reason I'm saying that we are fortunate to have them pay any attention to us (200 -V- millions). What would the average person do if put in the position of Excallibur...I think they would take the money and run, never looking back or paying attention to us.

I totally overstand what you are saying about supporting FF.org, Buzz, and getting a product that is the calibre of our level of play, etc;, but I must agree w/D-Child...let the manuf. do what they do, and let MFCA do what it does.

Good post, nice debate by everyone involved.

I would also like to mention that an Excalibur base and figure combo won the strength competition out here in So Cal once.

Now, don't tell me that does not say something positive about their products. Put in the work, experiment and tweak their stuff, you will be impressed if you take the time.

Their TTQB is also better than the current Miggle one's.

Another thing, Miggle pickled right up where Tudor left off and then eventually added some new things to their line.

Excalibur jumped right in with new stuff for the MF coach right off the starting line, they didn't just create another cookie cutter stamped steel field a la Tudor and Miggle.

Give them a break!

You know what, even though there is a lot of stuff I don't like being made and sold by companies in this hobby, I still buy it, because the investment I make today in a company/manufacturer will pay off one day in stuff that I do like.

Just support them now for what they may do for you in the future.

Default I stand corrected....

I have ben educated. Perhaps I have a narrow view of what moving forward in the hobby is, especially when it comes to bases.

Default What we can do!

- Promote our leagues, tournaments, games, etc... as much as possible.

- Work with each other to make EVERY play day, bash, tournament EXCELLENT. Entertaining - no petty bickering - good food.

- Play in high visibility places (malls, etc..) and show what we are doing is fun!!

- Represent good competition and good fellowship.

- Reach out to the youth (we are doing that in the CNYEFL) and teach them, share.

- Tie in with other local football events - even if just a scrimmage demo at a local Pop Warner/Youth event.

I could go on - but things like this will draw more to our game and create a larger market for companies/manufacturers to produce for.

Default chiming in

I agree with Shabby J. I went to JC Penney as soon as I knew about the new set and bought one, no questions asked. In fact, I buy everything from everybody. Supporting this hobby in every venue is the ticket. Besides, I like the variety of having different stuff.

I buy both the worst and the best there is! LOL! Now that's support!
