thank you
I made some pics of the work of yesterday evening, but with daylight instead of neon. But it's raining, so the camera saturated the pics again... you can see that the black ink lining is not too strong : it is just to separate the diferent colors, not to add a new one. |

fake decals
Hi,
tonight I posed the "decals" on the figs. Like for the first #66 figure I made, it 's just some miggle stickers I re-shaped and hide under a good coat of mat medium BTW, I've got decal paper, a printer and software...but sometimes I like to be not logical tomorrow I'll finish to integrate front numbers with the same technic, than add some shading on it. |

thank you ! If I go up with the rythmn of work, I should finish the whole theam (2 11figs squads) before the end of the year.
this week end, I hope these figs will be done and I'll go for the 6 other ones to complete the O squad. It will be longer I guess since I'll do a lot of 100% customized figs, since there is a lot of "stars" positions to do (QB, TE, RB, WR...) For the D squad I'll make it simplier. No real face and real decals, and very light custom (only arms and helmet mods, and perhaps some big men for line). Then next year, I'll go for another team...and certainly another board (3rd, perhaps with removable field if I find the way to make it) for it. It could be fun to make an european real team. Perhaps I'll could find a sponsor and beside of that...I've got other projects ( fantasy football, stadiums and a PRO project : athletes figures and field accessories original sculpting, since it's part of my real job, even if I don't know if I will cast it myself or find a company to sell the masters). yes I remember, now, you already spoke about it on my board topic....but how do you attach the motors on it ? do you glue it each time you change ?
thanks |

I'm experimenting using velcro on the motors as well. I'm still investigating the best way to attach them.

On my own board, I obtained the better result glueing the brass plate directly on the fiberboard. Since I use high speed motors and light weight counterweights, I obtain a game really smooth and not "bumpy" at all on 5 to 9/10 power level adjustement.
When I experimented double sided foam tape, I had to make bigger counters weight, increasing the "bumpy" effect also. Removable fields is really interesting, but I don't see what I should do to make it eficient too... |
