Coaches have a base question, what can you do to revigerate bases when they have hardened from age? :rolleyes: case and point I have about 40 old frosties that a few prongs have become somewhat hard, they would be very tweakable if they can regain the softness of the prongs, any wisdom out ther for me on this matter?

I've noticed if a flat front base hits the back of a blocker's base (who's flat), usually the ball carrier goes nowhere! So far I have found them a bit tippy. Shortened the rear prongs as you suggested in the "tweak" but still having some trouble. I am new to the tweaking though so maybe it is me. I may call you for advice Geno - is that ok? Working on training some to add to my Packers that will be playing in the NYEFL this year - first season in league.

Coaches, I have never seen a post about what is the best way to make the older hard bases useful. Often one can win a bunch of players on ebay and bases all un tweaked but old and hard. Has anyone ever explored the science of how to soften the plastic or theories of how to make them useful?

These bases are often considered unusable but plastic is a composition and there must exist a theory
