Default NFL License

I remember sitting at a Packer game and there was an ad using Electric football for Penske Movers.

Here you are, doing an ad at a Packer game, but the EF figures had to be as generic as could be (basic green & yellow) because they didn't have the license to use the logo, etc.

Reg is right on with the NCAA...it becomes a negotiation with each individual team (but therein you're only getting the team's license, not the ability to make money off a player likeness from that college). That's why, when you look at the NCAA college video games, you see "QB #12" instead of their name. That's because the video game manufacturers don't have a blanket group like NFLPA to negotiate with.

It's an interesting deal to say the least.

Smile Outrage

on this, You don't know me but I would like to thank you and all of my EF fans, you brought life into this game for me and my son, I would like to say that I was in this game when the NFL was in it. I love this game and I left it for ten years (moved to boring florida from NYC), now that I am back, thanks to you guys and dolls, I am in the process of starting a league with my son's friends, the grownups are too busy to enjoy life, Thanks to you Reg and your partners , you've taught me how to enjoy life outside of the norm, you guys are the greatest, don't let this stop you, you got a friend in me. Go Reginald, keep up the good work, I bet you the NFL is looking into starting this up again, because of you this is going to be a megahit again.
GOOD LUCK
DJ MELLO out of boring Florida

Default It's a closed issue at this point

Life is just too short to get up in arms over someone doing something like that. I did speak to the NCAA and that said everything looked good. So hopefully, I will not have that problem again.

My only concern was that it would have been a shame to have to walk away prematurely. You know that things are happening for others because of the energy you put out there. It sometimes inspires people to do business who would have not otherwise, because there are not many cheerleaders for the game in an overtly passionate way as what I have pride myself on.

I had no idea who would do that to me or anyone else when all are making gains off the blood, sweat, and tears of others. So, it just did not seem right. So hopefully, this will all go away and guys can just play the game and have a lot of fun.

Reg
