Default family pic

Hi,

I finished my Defense squad : plateform and facemasks. The facemasks are not really accurate, I did them with what was available :o

Tommorow I'll make better pics.

Wow ...

But now you need to make a Vikings team so they can do this again to them only in MF.

thank you for the vid ! It's fun to see my painted squad "alive"

Making a vikings team ? Why not...Favre is one of the greatest football players, and his 2009-2010 team is already historical (because it's certainly the last pro year for Favre, I believe).

Anyway, here's the last daylight pics of the squad ! Sorry, pics without bases, because I'm experimenting base painting too as I said before.

EDIT : I looked my painted bases....the paint doesn't stick well

Default Excellent team!

I have really enjoyed watching the development of your team. I cant wait to see the next one.

Also, I read in one of your comments that you paint to a table top standard, which I think usually looks better than collector quality when the models are actually in use. I know your models look even better in person when seen at scale. Your sculpting worked great to make your team unique and detailed, and I was impressed with how your style of sculpting really matched and enhanced the original sculpt of the figures.

Great work on everything (including the stripe making tutorial).

I love the sculpted arms and of course the detailing is beautiful. Great work!

thank you :o

I'm currently thinking about the next team, wich I'll certainly start next week : a 2009-2010 Steelers team. I've got some new ideas to improve the concept of "super detailling".

After that last ff.net new team (hopefully I have about 20 spare ff.net figs to add options in that teams in the future, BTW), I'll go on new projects : I want to use that re-sculpting technic on other figures brands (especially buzzball and miggle bigmen, since they will become the easiest and cheapest way to make custom teams soon), but on a new angle, trying to keep the interesting things I tested (detailled faces, sculpted muscles) but with more realistic (= less "big pro wrestlers" style) shape.

Default Diggin !

Hi,

I recently made an order in Buzzball bases, to complete my current pro teams (niners and steelers).

Actually, my plan is to build all my future teams on 2 things : ff.net figures, Buzzball figures, and buzzball bases. Why ?

First because I like these brand products, and they are nice persons. George has been very cool and comprehensive for my international order needs, for example. Ordering MF stuff from here is not as easy as you can see, so if I can make the things simplier, I'll do.

The other reason is that I always had good results with Buzzball bases. For strenght and pure speed for now, but I hope I'll be able to make new type of tweaking soon.

Here's some videos of buzzball tweaked bases I did :

strenght :

Speed :

Here's the first pics of the niners defense team. Not speaking of competitive side of it, these white and green bases give a real nice touch to the squad

THis afternoon, I'll tweak them, and will probably do videos also.

The theorical base choice I did :

nose tackle : reversed base for pure strenght (straight front)
defensive ends : base for strenght and "explosivity"
cornerbacks : pure straight route speed
middle linebackers : mixed speed/strenght, reversed bases (straight front)
outside linebackers : speed looper bases
safeties : speed straight route bases

Remember that I play passing simulation, where extrem reliability on your running routes is critical for game success. The defense can also play on passing attemps (pivots and angle for interception),so they need to be as fast and reliable as the offense receivers are.

The safeties will certainly be autorised to be stationnary (I'm working on a new field accessory for that, allowing to keep the "normal" athlete stationnary, without needing to replace it by a magnet base or something like that... I'll show you soon).

This starting squad is quite focused on 60% passing play, 40% running. In the future, I'll add options to them.

Default my favorite athlete on this squad is...

definitly Sopoaga

The figure is a mixed ff.net +miggle bigmen tackle (legs). Great defense tackle

When you see the real guy...I didn't make the figure so big finally
