This sucks! I wrote a long reply and lost it all! No time to rewrite it now. I will say that I am now leaning towards not being able to throw after the defense angles on the option.

Great points from everyone.

Yall need to table this also with the Big 10 Commissioner (Greg Hardmon) and Morgan (Big East) and maybe Geno. I think Beenutt is cool with whatever decision on the option and Biglock is as well but I have not discussed this with Geno.

Coaches,
Count BIG 12 in on this as it "IS" college ball. You guys are all over it...down to minor details now. I am with Mike on the passing portion.

Default Glad to See My Pods out on the Left Coast Gettin' Some Due!

Coach Champ and Coach Commish,

I told yall if we could ever get away from the boiled base thing, you would definitely get some luv from the east. That is starting to happen! What you guys are doing out there is incredible. I know some of the "situations" going on and here's an alternative to what is happenin! And because yall represent what is good about this hobby, when you put it out there that yall were having something in September, I just had to figure out what to do.

Yall do know you're costing my time going to the Rose Bowl to see my Tennessee Vols match horns with the UCLA Bruins and that kind of hurt but I hope this will be well worth my time.

I was asked to give up my Shootout around Labor Day weekend but I am glad something else (really in the same mode) is happening during that same time. I will do everything possible to make as many of these I can every year. But if Tennessee comes back out there next year or the year after, I will have to sacrifice MF for my Vols. I never sacrifice against the Vols but I did this year. So "yall" have got to put on a Show! Mike and I will be arriving on that Thursday.

Also, one other thing. The boards will not be having Pledge or anything on them? They will be clean for everybody to play on an even playing surface right? Just got through speaking with a coach who had an experience with that and I would not wish to come all theway out there and something like that happened.

Just thinking?

Reg

Default Reg, you da man!

Thanx! We appreciate your support, and the support of everyone giving positive input to this thing. I know how pationate you college football fans are, saying that...I know that you're making a huge sacrifice by choosing the Open Run over UCLA -V- Tennie, so we will do our best to make sure the tourney is worth your time. We are doing our best to make this tourney the best over in the WEST. Hit me on the PM with your Hotel info. I think it would be good if all of the traveling coaches stay in the same hotel. I make some inquiries.

As far as boards go, we plan on having all neutral boards. Simi's and championship games will be played on the best running boards. The use of Pledge will be a non factor in this tourney. We will use a damp rag to clean our fields if they need cleaning. The playing surface of the field must be completely dry...if you can feel mositure between your index finger & thumb from whatever substance was used to clean any particular field...the field must be wiped down until there is no trace of that substance...in other words, the playing surface must be completely dry.

Yes, I might add, a very dirty board, but it runs like a top.
