Default New project : Redskins stars

Hi,

Today I'll present a side project I have (another one ), 4 figures I'm doing for an american friend (I'll let him present himself if he want to ).

That project is quite original, since I'll detail some standard figs instead of custom poses. My friend wants to keep the figures their classic eficiency on the field.

It's also the first time I'll make some "short" figures.

So these figures will have all the fancy effects (muscles, hands, jerseys, faces, helmets, etc...) but with standard "classic" pose. Modern old school looking

Finally, the figures will be resculpted and just undercoated with a primer. I will not paint these figures

Pictures soon ! I need to relaunch the computer first

Here's some pics.

I started stripping the old paint, and correcting the main defects with a xacto knife.

I also started to prepare the helmets for face sculpting.

the figures went into a alcohol bath too (pic4). One of them (third pic) will swim into next night.

To be continued !

Is that a Mouton Rothschild 1945 or a Romanée Conti that you are soaking them in?

No...just good old workshop pure alcohol I'm using since years, wich became red I don't know why Perhaps the athletes are bleeding ? WHo knows ?

By the way, I drink just ordinary wine...but on each meal of the day, and sometimes on breakfast too (especially on fishing : cheese, ham, paté, etc...). That's the real french way to do

Good wines are for special days (friends diner, birthdays)

Really good wine (nothing as good as what you're speaking about) are for christmas and new year event (in my house, at least).

Default preparation

Hi,

this morning I prepared the figures for sculpting. Preparation is a very important step in advanced customizing.

I roughly fixed some anatomic defects, removed helmets edges, back, etc... and made a first rought sculpting with xacto knife.

Then, I sanded all the figure, to have a nice and clean base to work with.

Some of us can think that it's a lack of time : but finally, it's a gain of time and make the work easier. It will also bring a little extra touch to the final figure, not really noticeable as an individual thing, but important in the whole project.

Like a well painted and flocked plateform on a finished painted figure.

Default Training hard

Hi,

This afternoon I sculpted the first figure.

The athlete worked hard with him new personal coach (see first pic)

Now, he need some facial plastic surgery, and hands (hands are, as I heard, quite important for football). I will also fix little defects once the figure will be dry.

The basic figure inspired me a powerfull defensive player. Maybe a big middle linebacker. Working on stock figs is interesting.

Here's the pics.

Does the personal trainer work for hire? He looks like he has an effective approach! I could use someone like that for my team and a female version for myself.

It's a new 100% natural approach of training. No pills, no needles. Just hard (I mean, HARD) motivation.

I don't know if he will be for hire until a long period. Here in france we need him heavily these days
