Default our new fumble rule

we are using the penalty charts from the tweak...before each play we roll the 2 dice IF it comes up doubles its a penalty and you roll the third dice...if it comes up even its vs the offense...if odd the defense,,BUT if it comes up the third time the same as the first its a fumble.... then you roll one more time and even ball stays with the offense odd and it goes to the defense...

Default Evolution of rules made possible...

by the DFW?

I always am amazed how years ago, guys were so adamant about not using dice to enhance their games. I think this rule from the Tweak comes directly from the DFW Shootout Rules.

I am very glad to see you are bringing life into your style of play. You may need to go on and incorporate the penalties and fumbles but I will leave that to you.

Actually, the fumbles and penalties dice is something that my friend and I played around with way back in the mid 70's. He also took one of those motorized poker toys apart and repainted the wheels. You just turned it on, and pushed a button and the wheels spun and when they stopped, it would come up with fumbles or penalties or nothing at all, depending on what was on the wheel. I didn't want to go to all that trouble, so I just painted the dice like in the Tweak article. 30 years later and I'm still tweaking the system.

Default I STILL use dice for penalties, injuries, and turnovers

I think it's the ONLY way to make Solitaire games more interesting. The rules I have are original rules the Alamo City EFL league used from like 6 years ago.

Without looking at the sheets that explain how it all works right now, I will say this: If you've ever played solitaire and it got boring, or if your league uses the dice rules, it WILL definately add more realism to the games.

I mean, who'd ever guessed that my Peyton Manning guy ALWAYS seems to get hurt, my Thurman Thomas guy has a problem with fumbling, and the Titans as a team get too many stupid penalties, like illegal procedures (ruining good drives).

Yeah, it's funny how this game imitates life. My Raiders are the most penalized NFL team that I have. On the other hand, my Saquatch are the least penalized team, except for when they play the Bozos, then they just can't seem to quit sqeezing the other teams noses. "Penalty on #99 defense. Personal foul for 'honking'. That'll be 15 yards and an automatic first down."
