Default CFL Solitaire League

Finally finished painting and basing teams and began playing games. Has been very interesting and entertaining thus far.

Here are the double elimination results:

Season One
Regular Season Double Elimination Tournament

Round One

East Division
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 7
Montreal Alouettes 1 OT
Hamilton clinches playoff spot

Toronto Argonauts 8
Ottawa Rough Riders 0
Toronto clinches playoff spot

West Division
British Columbia Lions 6
Calgary Stampeders 0

Edmonton Eskimos 0
Saskatchewan Roughriders 14

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (bye)

Round Two

East Division
Toronto Argonauts 0
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 1

Hamilton receives the #1 seed for the single elimination playoff and a first round bye.

Toronto receives the #2 seed for the single elimination playoff.

Ottawa Rough Riders 13
Montreal Alouettes 3

Montreal eliminated / Ottawa clinches playoff spot and the #3 seed for the single elimination playoff.

Round Three

West Division
British Columbia Lions 7
Saskatchewan Roughriders 14

Saskatchewan clinches playoff spot, receives the #1 seed for the single elimination playoff and a first round bye.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 7
Edmonton Eskimos 13 OT

West Division
Calgary Stampeders 7
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 6

Winnipeg eliminated.
Calgary clinches playoff spot and the #3 seed for the single elimination playoff.

British Columbia Lions 0
Edmonton Eskimos 6

British Columbia eliminated

Edmonton clinches playoff spot and the #2 seed for the single elimination playoff.

The double elimination games were played as 2 possession games.

Single Elimination playoff will feature the Ottawa Rough Riders vs. the Toronto Argonauts in the East Division playoff with the winner meeting the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for the East Division Championship.

The Calgary Stampeders will play the Edmonton Eskimos in the West Division playoff and the winner will play the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the West Division title.

These games will be full 4 Qtr / 10 plays per qtr games.

I have a few of your teams you painted up in their old throwback uniforms in my Pioneer League (old time NFL teams) Absolutely wonderful!!!!

Results of the first round, single elimination games.

East Division First Round Playoff

Ottawa Rough Riders 0 3 0 14 --- 17
Toronto Argonauts 7 2 1 0 --- 10

Scoring
1st Quarter
Tor – Touchdown / RB #33 45 yd pass from QB #7 (kick good)
2nd Quarter
Tor – Single / 75 yd punt (ball dead in the goal area)
Ott – Field Goal / 10 yards
Tor – Single / 74 yd punt (ball dead past end line)
3rd Quarter
No Scoring
4th Quarter
Ott – RB #34 70 yd run (kick good)
Ott – QB #4 38 yd run (kick good)

After trailing 10-3, Ottawa scores two 4th quarter touchdowns, to win 17-10.

West Division First Round Playoff
1 2 3 4 OT F
Calgary Stampeders 0 0 3 0 --- 3
Edmonton Eskimos 0 0 0 0 --- 0

1st Quarter
No Scoring
2nd Quarter
No Scoring
3rd Quarter
Cal – Field Goal / 30 yards
4th Quarter
No Scoring

In a tight defensive battle, Calgary scores on a 30 yd field goal in the 3rd quarter to produce the games only scoring.



Ottawa next meets the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for the East Division Championship and Calcary will play the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the West Division Championship.

Yeah, have thought about it. Hey, we are expecting a WHITE CHRISTMAS here in Nashville., if you can call 1-2 inches a snow.

To hear the weather forecasters you would think we were getting a blizzard!!!

Yes, I guess that is the lowest score in CFL history. Need to look back over the play by play and figure out why. I wasn't really paying attention to the score, was just playing the game.
