Default New guys and Miggle next year

With the support of you guys in the MFCA............

I will organize a "Miniature Football Tour" of the Embassy Suites hotel next year.

For 1 hour, lets say that Saturday from 4:30 to 5:30 - All members go upstairs to the rooms and leave all room doors wide open for coaches and my tour to visit.

---All doors open at the same time will encourage non attendees of the convention to say Hmmmmmmm ( How many guys have you seen around the hotel who you know prolly played the game too?)

---All doors open will reveal where everyones rooms. Yeah, we tell eachother, but then we all forget

---But more so, I will know where to bring the tour ( ) and the newbies will feel far more comfortable walking into unknown environments.

You know guys, i think my niche in this hobby, or perhaps contribution, has been to aide the new guy. I remember just a few years ago when i was new and all the support and help i got from MANY, MANY members. I want to pay that forward. I also remember coming in around the time of Don Lang--DetroitChild and Shabby J, just to name 2. I think the 3 of us have helped the MFCA in our goal, so if reaching out to new guys will help our cause, our efforts and our FUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUN Then its worth the shot baby.

Get ready next year, i will be harassing all of you to keep them doors open.

Then, at 5:30, we all go to the atrium for the free drinks at happy hour . The vets and newbies can really get comfy then.

I think this is a great idea. I know, even as somewhat of a veteran, I missed a bunch this time. Seeing everyone's pictures and what everybody was doing, I missed out on just about all that - save for late Saturday night in a room with Mike Turner and David Nickles, Norbert, Warren Jefferson and some other folks.

But I didn't get to spend much time with very many folks this time around and missed out on a good bit.

Ed

Sounds like a great idea Scott!

I'm going to do my best to get out to an event in 2012 or late 2011.

great idea Hoop !!!
Just make sure you tell Frank he has to keep his shirt on during that time.
John and I have a story about Frank not wearing a shirt during our game in the infamous room 409 !
