Default Need another rule clarification

From the ruleebook: "The interior linemen must have one yard of space between them."

Is this a minimum only? or can I do something like this to simulate pulling guards?

WR........TGG.....CT..........WR (each period represents a yard spacing)

My interpretation and experience in the Dixie League would say that this formation is illegal.

Hmm. Intersting. I was looking at it from the standpoint that my guards had pulled out for lead blocking on a sweep or screen as there really is no way for that to occur with the present rule set.
