What was the big GU for on the field and uniforms tonight?

As was mentioned previously the GU and #63 was in honor of the late Gene Upshaw. All of the players, at least for this weekend, will wear the GU and #63 on there jerseys. Also the GU and #63 will be on all of the fields this weekend. My guess is that the Raiders will wear that and have the field painted for the 2008 season.

OK...I'm great with that! I was afraid that it was some new corporate sponsor and all uniforms were going to start looking like a nascar. I hated the Raiders but I still respect their great players and Gene was one of them.
