Default Solitaire Tournament...

this weekend in the Man Cave Stadium - 12 team Iron Man Tournament.

Why: Because I want to get some games in and work the skills.
When: Throughout the weekend.

Format:
- Teams will be divided into four - 3 team pools.
- Each team will play the other pool teams 1 time using a Miggle style approach - 4 downs from the 40 going in.
- Each team will have to use at least run play during the four downs. Ties determined by most yards gained.
- No field goals allowed.
- Any touch tackles - no passing to engaged receivers - defense adjusts unengaged defenders on pass completions and after 10 yards gained on run plays.

Defenses will all run a 3 man front with remaining defenders set to defend run or pass set-ups. No stacking - LBer's in gaps cannot be closer than back of DT's base.

The top team from each pool will advance into the knock-out stage.

Knock-out stage each teams will have two - four down possessions - same basic rules - field goals allowed on either possession - standard Miggle goalposts.

Final Game - teams will each have two possessions - as many plays as they can muster - minimum of four allowed - so long as the keep getting first downs. TD's will be followed by a mandatory try for point from scrimmage - 2 points for a run PAT and 1 point for a pass PAT.

The Pool draws are:

Pool A
Dolphins
Panthers
Cowboys

Pool B
Cardinals
Jets
Colts

Pool C
Patriots
Red & Black (of my hometown - Watertown NY, Oldest semi-pro team in USA)
Steelers

Pool D
Redskins
Seahawks
Giants

Play will begin this evening.

Hope to post video/photo highlights as I can during the weekend.

Basic EF/MF fun!!!

Default Early results from Day 2...

of the tourney (11/6/2010)

Volleyball team breakfast this morning - so we are just again underway.

Jets 6-0 over the Colts (32 yards gained)

Cowboys 12 - 6 over the Panthers (who added 26 yards gained)

The standings thus far:

Pool A
Cowboys 1-0 (2 TD and -7 yg)
Dolphins 1-0 (1 TD)
Panthers 0-2 (plus 30 yg) (eliminated)

Pool B
Cardinals 1-0 (plus 28 1/2 yg)
Jets 1-1 (1 TD and plus 33 yg)
Colts 0-1 (32 yg)

Pool C
Patriots 1-0 (plus 28 yg)
Steelers 1-1 (1 TD, plus 6 yg, 1 off Int)
Red and Black 0-1 (1 TD, plus 5 yg)

Pool D
Redskins 1-0 (1 TD, plus 23 yg)
Giants 1-1 (2 TD, plus 27 yg)
Seahawks 0-1 (plus 12 yg)

TO had both Cowboy TD receptions and might of had a third if not for the Panther sack pictured. Panthers had pressure on each play.

You should make some vids also ! Perhaps put your camera on critical downs, or random running plays, for example

It would be cool to see it in motion, even without music and all
