Question Your favorite WR-base combo?

One of my biggest woes is getting a WR open without getting mauled at the line, hooked, etc...I know there are rule sets that can make this less of a problem , but we are not by playing by those in our league yet, so please don't make this about rules.

What is your favorite NON-custom combo of base and WR that you find tends to get openmost often?

Miggle/Tudor WR figure on a Monroe boat base with Clear Speed Diamond prongs under it.

I use them on pro and college and they are sweet.

My receivers get open a lot, too bad my QB can't hit 'em as often.

Default Wolf

Hey I have very talented recievers.I use the buzzball WR2 modified just alittle. That stock figuire is still sweet.Hard to hook those.I have them on polo green rookies. They are not strong but slide awesome.I also use orange ttc base.Them two boys were in the top ten in yards in the Great Lakes. Also the buzzball RB is good also as well as the miggle tackle fig.

I can tweak rookies bases. That's my specialty. You need some let me know.Corey can vouch for that.Damon Lucas has some awesome red rookies from me.PM if you need some help Wolf

Default WR's

Dont mean to yank my own chain but my custom wideouts are designed to avoid the hook no joke.

Since you asked for NON-Custom base and figure. Here is what I use , the haiti repro tackle figure or buzzball Mr. Everything figure. The bases are any color ttc base that get a good burst or initial wobble to break open. Or I get the same result out of a speed diamond base.

Just to clarify, the base can be a mix, even boat base frankenstien.

It depends what board and ruleset. On a 620 with stop & pop, I tend to like the Fab 5 WR on a black speed diamond...angled. I also like the Buzzball RB figure with a quicksilver base a lot. Does well vs the cover corner figure as the arm of the corner tends to meet the elbow of the RB.

If I'm in a game with pass simulation and/or I need yards after the catch, then I tend to bring guys out of the backfield more and sometimes go with a RB or Mr. Everything (DL) buzzball figure and I've found the white speed diamond to be the most consistent off the switch with the clear speed diamond coming in second for running to the stick.

Default WOLF, TRY THIS

hey wolf,

play two te's on the line to fill out the legal 7 man front. play 2 or three receivers OFF the line of scrimmage to give them a cushion to release on there routes. GET WITH GENO AND GET THOSE F5 ITZ DIALS AND TURN THE WHEEL SLIGHTY IN EITHER DIRECTION TO GIVE THE DEFENDER THAT JUKE AND GO.

1) Isolate 1 receiver on one side of the field to go 1 on 1 with the defender using said ITZ F5 BASES.

2) MAKE DOUBLES OF ALL YOUR RECEIVERS AND KEEP SWITCHING THEM IN AND OUT OF THE GAME. When your opponent thinks he has figured oot your wideouts running patterns, put the other wr (THE DOUBLE) IN WITH A DIFFERENT RUNNING PATTERN

3)ALWAYS THROW TO THE RUNNING BACK OUT OF THE BACKFIELD ON THE SIDE OF THE BLITZING LOOPER. That looper leaving his area to blitz will create a space for the running to enter into.
